The Dragons
==============================================
Ancient Tellenian myth states that the world was created by six Dragons, of whom were created by a single dragon. While their names differ among the various cultures that worship them, many agree that they are the same entities. All Dragons were known to have three eyes, the third can be used to see into the minds of mortals.
Seethos, The Fateweaver: Astral Serpent of spirits, dreams and fate. Father of the other six Dragons, Seethos is the eldest creature in known existence. Unlike his children, Seethos has no corporeal form, and cannot cross over into the material sphere. Despite being the creator of this realm, he is depicted as a purely neutral being, in control of the threads of fate. This also includes helping the spirits of the dead move on to their destination, be it punishment, or their next life. However, he has been known to show a little grace towards certain creations, should they pray to him. To be a priest of Seethos, is to be truly pure, and strive to seek balance in life.
Unlike his children, who use the dragonkin of their same color, Seethos' agents, known as the Fateless Wardens, are selected from doomed individuals. He visits them within their sleep, and, if they accept his offer, he bites them, leaving a glowing silver mark. The individual’s eyes turn a pure, glowing silver, similar to their scar. They are then instructed to head to a secret monastery on Wyrmrest Isle, where they receive further training in the way of balance.
Pyrothos, The Sun King: Red Dragon of the flame and light, he is the patron of the sun, fire, and just about anything else that gives warmth and light. Other than Seethos, he is the only Dragon believed to be still within the mortal sphere, dormant within the world's core. The sun is also said to be his third eye, which he himself gave to the sky, in order to provide light for his sister, Restia's creatures.
When Pyrothos gave the mortals a sun, he also inadvertently gave them fire. Paladins, Clerics, Monks, Priests of the Eternal Fire, and Pyromancers call upon his power for their own Holy and fire magics.
This being Is zealously worshiped by the Empire, symbols depicting him plastered on object ranging from street flags and banners, to shields and armor. There is a giant brazier within the Order's main chapel, which is said to have been lit by the First Flame. The fact that the brazier has been burning with little maintenance since as long as anyone can remember supports this claim.
Serameya, Queen of the Twin Moons: Sapphire Two-headed Dragon of magic and the Twin moons. Her essence is still felt today, in both the moon and the Mana that flows throughout our bodies. Serameya's humanoid form remains intact, persevered within a large mana crystal inside the World Fount, a temple surrounded by the only home of the Velkoth. This conduit of mana is zealously defended by the inhabitants there. Due to her imprisonment, the task of watching over the flow of mana has been given to the Enclave as a whole, but the Archmage, Archimedes, has the burden of watching over the source.
When you are an official mage, you are technically a Priest of Serameya. But to truly be one, you must respect the mana within you, as well as the effect the twin moons have on the planet.
Restia, Queen of Nature: Green Plant-Dragon of nature and life. Those who live solely off of nature particularly value her over the others, even Pyrothos. Mate to Nel'zan. She controlled the earth, and the life that populates it. Her whereabouts are unknown, as she can shape-shift into any of her creatures, even plants.
Druids are priests of Restia.
Rabartas, Lord of the Depths: Silver Serpent-Dragon of frost, and the sea. Both sailors and the Dorn pray to this Dragon for good fortune. A serpent capable flight and swimming, he was responsible for keeping the seas in line, and the atmosphere in a favorable condition for life. He is assumed to be still swimming about the deep ocean, stirring up waves, and aiding Nel’zan with sailors, who seem to be pretty good at avoiding him while at sea.
To be a priest of Rabartas, one must devote themselves to protection and proper respect of the Seas, and it's creatures. (lol, Aquaman.)
Gizondrea, Lady of Storms: Bronze Dragon of lighting, weather, and energy. Mate of Rabartas. She worked in conjunction with him to bring water from his oceans, and turn them into rain, or snow, depending on the climate. Ancient inhabitants believed that thunderstorms were caused by her presence, and the lighting simply to keep people inside when it rained.
Nelzan, Lord of the Dead. Black Dragon of death. Nel'zan is responsible for making sure that everyone passed when Seethos deemed it so. He carries the skull of an ancient and horrifyingly powerful demon, bound to a staff, which amplifies his own scourge magic. Although good-natured, he is cold, and unfeeling to mortals. This was to deter any from trying to reason with death. Although a dragon, he appears in a humanoid form to those he guides to the other side.
