Creature Compendium==============================================
Anything other than common wild animals, (such as rats, and wolves) will go here. This could be added to during the story, as well as by player input. If you have any creature ideas, send them my way.
==============================================
Beasts==============================================
Worg: Large wolves bred by the Lykrans to use for a myriad of things, but primarily for hunting, long-distance travel, defense, or simply just as pets. They are twice the size of normal wolves, but aren't as into the pack-mentality as their smaller cousins. While they may team up to hunt faster prey together, wild worgs are territorial, and only allow anything that smells similar to them within such areas. Wild worgs litter Calravia, due to Lykrans releasing extra ones into the wild to cause problems for the Humar and hostile Beastian tribes.
Since then, the all parties involved have been working to curb the population before the ecosystem is damaged any further, but uncontrolled worgs spawn like rabbits, making it difficult to successfully weed them out.
Vallakkan: Reptilian riding beasts used in a similar fashion that the Lykrans use Worgs. They excel at climbing, and are a tad more hardier than worgs, but are slower because of it.
Horses: I'm sure you know what a horse is, so I'll spare you the obvious details. Used by the Humar as a means of travel, Osterian horses are larger and meatier than those you might be accustomed to, since they have been specifically bred to survive in Windfrost. This makes them a tad slower, but any Lykran that's taken a blow from a couched Humarian lance and survived can tell you: their strength more than makes up for it.
Oxen: Creatures used as beasts of burden, this is one of the few creatures that can survive any climate, save for the desert. Usually seen pulling carts, or grazing on the field, Oxen are tough and stubborn creatures, and easy to anger, so a handler must be real careful when directing them, otherwise they're git a horn, or a swift kick, to the gut.
They are sometimes used as mounts, but aren't as fast as other, more readily available options. Still... you have to take what you can get.

Spawned by Magic==============================================
Enclave Golem: Golems created by the Enclave to do the jobs most mages/scholars are too physically weak to do themselves. When not doing this, they usually are running security. Full automatons, they are animated using a spell invented by Archimedes, and have no soul, or free will to speak of. They can speak, however, but their voices are monotone, and rarely do they have anything interesting to say.
==============================================
The Scourge==============================================
There are many different types of creatures in the scourge, some are alive, while most are undead. Although lacking any free will, they all have varying degrees of intelligence, depending on their type. Most lie dormant within the Tainted Peninsula, though lesser undead can be encountered anywhere during the night.
Hollow:Typical zombies. Serve as general infantry. Usually slow, but special roles can be fast. Weak alone, but can give you a hard time when grouped up with others. Don't get surrounded. Their dried skin, and tattered remains of their outfits typically make them easy to catch fire. (hint)
Ghouls: While physically the next step up from a Hollow, mentally, they are a step down. That doesn't mean they're not more of a challenge. Faster, stronger, and able to leap great distances. Their bodies are usually drained of fluids during creation, so fire works fairly well against them.
Skeleton: Similar to Hollow, they are stronger, smarter, and not quite as susceptible to fire. While most serve as veteran fighters, there are some sorcerers that weren't quite powerful enough to make it to Minor Lich. There's a race of ancient giants that are only turned into massive skeletons that are not as powerful as a golem, or an abomination, but still serve a similar purpose.
Flesh Golem/Abomination: When bodies are too weak to be used as Hollow, they are piled up and merged either into a Flesh Golem, or an abomination. The Golem is stronger, yet has little intelligence other than the will of it's master. Nor does it have the mental capacity to use it's hands other than to hold prey in place, or as weapons. An Abomination is pretty much a golem that is smart enough to speak, carry weapons and work on it's own.
The Rotting Colossus: While only one of these has ever existed, it is more than enough to send entire armies fleeing in terror. Unfortunately for any aspiring necromancers, the amount of power to keep this thing moving is tremendous. At least six Ancient Liches have to combine all they have to even raise it. It last appeared in the myth of the dragons, alongside the forces arrayed against the Fel Legion at the battle of the world spire. Before falling apart, it tore a hole through the barrier surrounding the portal the Demon King was using to enter the mortal realm. As it stands right now, there are not enough active elder liches to raise such a beast. Which means that the only way to raise it would be through use of the Time-Lost Skull.
The Kulnuth: The Kul'nuth, which is scourge-speak for "Chosen", are ancient Skeletons that have proven their worth countless times over. As skilled in the art of combat as they are knowledgeable in battle tactics, they command the undead alongside, if not in place of an ArchLich, who, has great resentment for the beings that were once in their service. The Skeletons usually have control of minor scourge and frost magic, but miraculously can control countless undead by their will alone.
Lich: A Lich comes in three forms. One is an ArchLich, who so immense in power, that he has his own free will, while all of the rest are Minor and Major. The stronger are obviously major, while the weakest are minor. With a Lich, power is measured by age. The less flesh they have on their bones, the more powerful they are.
Rotbrood: Undead wyrmkin of the various broods, they capable of causing as much destruction as an abomination, not many come face-to-face with a Rotbrood Wyrm and live to tell the tale.

The Fel Legion==============================================
The Demon-King Megiodanius had a vast army of demons at his command, that he used to control the world. Since his defeat at the hands of Pyrothos and Nel'zan, a civil war has raged within the Fel Plane between his children, for their father's throne. Fortunately for the mortal world, the fighting shows no signs of stopping.
Megiodanius: Referenced many times in myth, little is known about him, other than he was a ruthless, greedy individual, who used his dark powers to get what he wanted. Seethos was forced to forfeit his corporeal form, so his children could gain the power to rid the world of such a horrid being.
Unfortunately, The Demon King had proved a bit more powerful than Seethos had anticipated, capturing all of his children, save for Pyrothos and Nel'zan. Spurred to save this world, the two dragons banded together, and would go on to defeat the demon, in what would become one of the most important events in Tellenian myth; The Battle of the World Spire.
Due to recent discoveries, many scholars and demonologists believe that the fact that he appeared similar to a dragon was more than just coincidence. While none have been able to ask the Fateweaver to confirm or deny such theories, it has been suggested that perhaps Megiodanius had some relation to Seethos. Perhaps they were brothers, making him some crooked god of destruction.
Imp: Small demons, half the size of a Dorn. They're not much of a threat to anyone (seriously, you could poke it with a pillow and kill it.), and are the easiest to control, but can be a hassle if encountered in large numbers. Their small size makes them good for jobs in tight spaces.
Fel Knight: Whenever a mortal is corrupted by demons, they are often turned into a Fel Knight. Their skin turns soot black, the whites of their eyes also go black, and their irises turn a disturbing green. Unholy strength, stamina, fighting skill, in addition to Fel Magic, make this creature a rather difficult foe to dispatch. However, anyone accustomed to fighting demons should be able to handle one of these.
Capra Demon: A demon so depraved, so horrifying, that it's words alone make lesser minds simply fall into one of it's attacks. Twice the strength of a Fel Knight, it's rusty, crude weapons vary depending on the demon's preference, but most tend to gravitate to the heavy cleavers depicted in the illustration. These weapons are so heavy, each swing causes the nearby ground to shake upon impact. This is their weakness, though, as sometimes they can get them stuck in an object, leaving them vulnerable as they struggle to pull them out. Do be careful, however, as they are just as deadly unarmed.
Gargoyle Demon: A demon that takes the form of a stone gargoyle. It's stone skin makes it resistant to slashing weapons, but it still prefers subterfuge, often masquerading as a harmless statue, only to swoop in on a victim once their back is turned. Equipped with a poleaxe, a flexible axe-like tail and fiery breath, it is quite a capable fighter, though would fall below the Capra demon on terms of threat, were it not for it's ability to fly for short periods of time. They also almost always come in pairs, one in Bronze armor, the other in Silver.
Taurus Demon: The fabled minotaur were a race that defied the demons before Seethos had created the other six dragons. Were it not for their sacrifice, all of Tellenia might have been corrupted. While a few do remain, wandering the realm, most have been turned into this nearly unstoppable abomination. Twice the size and strength of a Capra Demon, it's only weakness is that the large size of itself and it's massive axe leave it rather slow, and simple to dodge if quick enough. Still, no demon should be taken lightly, so one should fight it with caution.
Fel-Lord: Spawn of Megiodanius, these five demons are vying for control over their father's domain, each leading their own army of demons. Rarely seen, even before the demon civil war, there isn't much information on them other than their appearance. But it is safe to assume that since demons only allow themselves to be controlled by a powerful being, that these creatures must have an immense amount of power at their disposal.
Note: The illustration depicts only one specific lord, known as Ba'anl, the others look different in appearance.
