lol Funny, I feel kinda like Roxas, filling out his own journal entries every day..
Anyway, I might as well wrap it up for now. I had a great time with you all, but to quote Captain Jack Sparrow, "it would never have worked between us". xp
What am I going to be doing before I get to San Antonio, though? Good question!
Today, I'll be packing up my stuff, going out with my parents to see what the rivers are like (we've had a LOT of rain recently in western Tennesee!), and providing various assorted chocolates and candies to the *prudently sniffs* distinguished trick-or-treaters. lol
I'll be going out on Sunday with my parents, back to eastern Tennessee where I'll be meeting up with some of my 'step-relatives'. Then I'll be heading out to Nashville around noon on Monday, and I should get there in time for going to a hotel along with everyone else that's shipping out like I am.
I'll be spending the night in the hotel, and wake up bright and early at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday morning. In time for breakfast, I hope! After that, I'll be getting on a bus to go to the local MEPs (Military Entrance Processing) station, where I'll have a quick physical, have a swearing-in ceremony at 10:30 a.m. and see my parents for one last time. I'll then have lunch at MEPs and head off to the airport, and the plane that will send me and many others to Lackland AFB in San Antonio for Basic Military Training! *gasps for breath*
Oh, and after the eight weeks of BMT, I'll be going to tech school in Wichita Falls for a month and a bit to learn my job, which is in Finance... Sigh.. I'm going to be cross-training into a weather-related job, assuming I can get this colorblind business sorted out... Yeah, as of early June this year, when I went to MEPs for the first time, I'm colorblind according to a dumb tester that rushed me on the color vision test, which strikes me out for being in anything to do with weather, which is what I want to do! [/rant] Yeah, ranting in journals, who knew it?
I should be getting citizenship in a year and a bit, too, which is faster than if I was just a civilian. Which is good: my non-citizen status struck me out for more jobs than my "colorblindness".
I guess that's it, then! I might be on Gaia randomly, so drop me a line or two of text if you see me online, ok? And if you don't get the chance to (which I'm assuming means everybody that ends up reading this journal entry >.> ), happy Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and Merry Christmas!!!
