Hello there, this is another one of my poems, I named this one Where The Waves Keep Rolling. This poem expresses my feelings --all the way throughout the poem-- about leaving Wisconsin behind to live in Florida, but I'll always love and remember Wisconsin as a place where my heart truely is and a place I grew up in. You can check out my other poems by taking a look at my journal archives. All of my poems come from the heart, so they really express my feelings. Enjoy the following poem.
Tick tock I look at the clock Thinking of him feels like a crime Because I’m running out of time
Soon I’ll be gone My life here is done Now it’s time for me to go To start down the road paved gold
Where the salty waves keep rolling And oranges grow Where the palm trees stand And the grass is greener
My heart will break My heart will reach for you My heart will mend My heart will break again
My love My best friend My partner My true heart
Where the distant waves keep rolling And cranberries grow Where the pine trees stand And the snow is whiter
I close my eyes I reach out with my heart The memories come back I don’t know whether to cry or laugh
The cobblestone paths, The rolling waves, The lighthouses, And the beauty and grace…
Will be emblazoned in my mind forevermore
