Wow, I'm sorry it's been forever since I typed this, so if everyone remembers what happened last time....
~RECAP~
Kitsune went to buy some groceries at the marketplace. The first thing on her list.... fresh Nectarines. She bought one, and was yelled at for not saying "thank you" initially. She apologized, but was once again yelled at by the fruit vendor. Who IS this mysterious, ill-tempered fruit vendor? And where are HIS manners?

As the front door opened slowly, Kitsune peeked her head in to see if anyone was still home. Her mother, Hiigeshi, was in the kitchen boiling sticky white rice for sushi. A long, slimy eel lay dead on a cutting board next to her. Kitsune smiled and licked her lips. She loved her mother's eel sushi rolls and wraps. Hiigeshi turned around and jumped, the pot full of steamy water and rice almost spilling on Kitsune's clothes. Kitsune jumped back and helped her mother carry the pot to the other counter.
"Mom, I've got some WEIRD crap going on--"
"What?" her mother asked, still a little shaken from her daughter's coming home early. Kitsune's mouth twitched slightly.
"Some new shopkeeper screamed bloodymurder at me for forgetting to say 'thank you' to him. He looked about my age, too. Weirdest thing ever." Hiigeshi stared at her daughter for a few seconds, then chuckled.
"Does seem a bit strange," she said with a smile.
Kitsune sighed.
"I'm serious this time. I know something weird always happens whenever I go out to buy groceries, but this was just flat-out BIZZARE."Hiigeshi frowned. "Well, the boy doesn't have manners himself if he screams at his customers just because they forgot their P's and Q's ONE TIME," she said while slipping on her cleansing gloves and drying a pan.
"Exactly!!!" Kitsune exclaimed, then stomped out of the house, working over what exactly she would scream back at the ill-tempered boy.
"I'm gonna go give that fool one-four!!" she said, then slammed the door behind her.
Hiigeshi stared at the door for a few seconds, then sighed and chuckled, shaking her head. She put the over-dryed pan down. "What strange characters we have in this town indeed..."

Kitsune headed down the rocky street to the weirdo fruit vendor's stand, but found to her dismay that it had completely vanished.
"Wow, that's..... a little sad....." she murmured to herself as she laid her hands on her hips. A bright flash lit up the street for a second, then disappeared. Kitsune whirled around to see a strange, red-ish light flickering in the alleyway directly across from her. She found it a little hypnotizing, but decided against checking it out.
"Ooooooh, no," she said, waving her hands in front of her, " 'When something strange appears in an alleyway at night, and you are there to bear witness, run,' " she quoted.
Her best friend, Sasuke, a.k.a., "Adventure-san", told her that golden piece of advice the day they met, and she had been keeping to it ever since. Injury and "running into the wrong people" rates definitely went down. She was just about to turn around and make her way back home when someone cleared their throat. It sounded so..... so.... on-purpose-like. She whipped her head toward the alleyway and listened carefully. Nothing. She sighed in defeat. "Sorry Adventure-san, but this is getting SO weird, I don't think it counts anymore."Kistune then let out a slightly-irritated "ugh" and cautiously snuck into the alleyway.
