I got my senior pictures two Mondays ago (August 10th). It went about like how I expected it to go I guess. I was pretty nervous, and that paired with my super shyness made me not very outgoing or energetic, but that’s how I figured I would be. The photographer said I needed more energy, but that wasn’t anything I didn’t expect. So considering nothing bad happened, and I got pretty much all the scenery I wanted, I’d say it went pretty good. I got my hair done first. I just had it straightened with the ends flipped out. I wish I could do my hair like that myself. I suck at hair though. Then I went to the mall and had my makeup done at MAC. It turned out really nice. I’m not as bad at makeup as I am at hair, but I still don’t think I could get my makeup to turn out the same way if I did it myself. I really wish I could! We had some time to kill after my makeup was done, so my mom and I went down to Hot Topic. I was dressed in a black and red tartan dress, with a pyramid stud bracelet, bat necklace, fishnet stockings, and pyramid stud mary-janes. The outfit paired with my freshly done dark black makeup was definitely Hot Topic approved, but the rest of the mall, not so much (lol). Just about everyone stared at me. This one younger girl who was walking in front of me turned around, saw me, turned back around, and then turned around to look at me again. I don’t think I’ve ever made someone do a double take before! At fist all the stares made me really self conscious, but then I figured I’d never look this good again, so it was ok. I got my pictures taken in a cemetery, in a creepy basement, and in an abandoned apartment. I really like how some of them turned out. The only thing that kind of sucked is I didn’t get a background I wanted. The photographer said to send him pictures from magazines that I liked for photo ideas, and he would try to get the supplies to do something like that. There was a picture of a girl on an all white background with red roses all around her that we sent him. He didn’t do anything to get the supplies (which were basically just roses) for the picture. It just made you think why the ******** did he ask for picture ideas if he wasn’t going to do anything about them anyways? It was kind of disappointing because the roses would have looked really cool with my dress. I got some of the main backgrounds I wanted though, so it’s not that big of a deal I guess. He even put two of my photos up on his actual site as examples! That’s so exciting, because he only puts pictures he really likes on his site, and not everyone he takes a picture of gets photos put up. It made me feel good. Now I’m just waiting for him to get my proofs online so my mom, the rest of the family, and I can go through and decide which ones we want. Hopefully I can get some on my profile when I get them back!
