“Syl, do you think the girl was telling the truth?” Sephireine, the vampire emperor’s guardian and lover, asked.
“I don’t know, Seph. But, whenever I look straight into her eyes, she seemed to be so vulnerable when it comes to meeting us.” Sylphireth, the vampire emperor and the one who sent Sairene down to the dungeon, replied. He was walking back and forth with his arms crossed to his chest and eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“Well, if she’s adopted, she may still be a human because I don’t feel any racial aura than human aura from her,” Kane, the angel emperor and a loyal friend of Sylphireth and Sephireine, said. “What’s puzzling, how could she reach Cruxiaren if she’s a normal human. I mean, she just couldn’t go here with bare feet and all.”
“I know that Kane. And it deeply puzzles me as well. That girl was something, and if ever we’ve proven that she’s a Silverhart, I’m really going to take her head.” Sylphireth said.
“Right now, what’s more effective was to approach her again.” Sephireine suggested as he sat down.
“We can’t.” Sylphireth countered.
“Why not?”
“I told you already. She looked vulnerable when it comes to us. It seems that she’s afraid of vampires and angels.”
“How could you say that?” Kane asked.
“Three days ago, at night, I told you that the girl landed on me right? When she stood and backed away, while I walked to her, she just fainted, and I’m not doing anything to her yet. And include the happenings today. The looks in her eyes. She was extremely scared.”
“So…how are we going to tame her?” Sephireine asked with a curious voice.
“She’s not an animal, sir Seph.” Kane said.
“Er…sorry.”
Sylphireth brought his right index finger under his chin, “How about we bring her to a dinner tonight? Then, we’ll talk to her.”
Sephireine stood and embraced his lover, “That’s a brilliant idea!” Then a kiss.
“Ehem…would you mind?” Kane asked, with a blushing face.
“Sorry.” Both vampires said, also blushing as they parted away.
