Zoe's eyes darted straight to the helpless Hyde. She took a dagger-pointed spear from the wall and she charged Hyde. It plunged through his chest, as he let out a blood curdling scream. She pinned him to the wall as the crimson liquid licked the spear all over. Hyde spat out some of this blood. It ran down and his face became pained. "Zoe...why?" was all he managed to say, for Zoe released him off the wall and he fell.
The cement ground never felt like home before until now, but all hope was lost as Zoe was readying herself for a second attack. She stabbed and beat down on the hopeless Hyde. All he could do was take it. He couldn't fight her, for she could die. Her expression was none at all. Her strength was enormous. Her elemental powers came into play after she had delivered her physical blows.
Hyde, now covered in his blood, was losing sight and balance quickly. He could not stand and he could barely sit. His strength was weakened by ever single blow that this girl, the one he came to know and cherish for over such a short period of time. He never knew that this beautiful face, the one with the dazzling smile and the warm and enchanting eyes, would cause so much destruction. Hyde knew he couldn't survive this for any longer, but he couldn't let Naraku have control over her forever. He knew that somewhere in that hateful and closed expression, Zoe was still there. He needed to find a way to bring her out.
As he challenged each of her powers to their full extent, he fought back not give up. His breath was shortening, his pulse lowering, and by every single touch of the soft and gentle hand he had kissed once before, wore more of his strength down. He wanted to let Zoe know one thing before he was going to go. He knew what he was going to do, and he had to wait for a full frontal attack, one that would surely end his life forever.
As Naraku smiled throughout this entire pleasing show, he slowly made Zoe back up and face her victim. With two little words, he spoke, "Kill him." Zoe made a straight line for Hyde as her right hand glowed with a red light of power, and as she shot forward Hyde readied himself. He leaned up as an open target, exposing his chest that had yet to have been struck.
Zoe ran straight forward and Naraku smiled, for the final moment. Zoe drove her glowing hand straight into Hyde's vulnerable chest, and as she did, Hyde leaned up so his lips were at Zoe's ear. She stopped and held her hand there as it tore through Hyde and shot out of his back. Hyde took one final breath, and gently whispered, "I love you, Zoe."
She froze at his words. Hyde's body had slid off, but as it did, his lips brushed against her cheek for only a last moment. He was dead. Zoe stood straight up, and her expression had changed. Her heart cried out in pain. Her eyes welled with sadness. Her arm dripped with her cherished one's blood. She had killed the only one she meant to spend the rest of her life with. "Hyde....." was all her lips managed to escape.
