The next morning, Hyde was awoken by a rude splash of shreikingly cold water.
"Come on boy, wake up. It's time for breakfast. And a little show...hehehehehehe..." the two syndacate chuckled and took him to a different cell in he same room Zoe was in.
He looked up at her body in the tank. She looked almost as cold as death. She had no expression, no uncertanty, and no movement. Her skin looked as smooth as the clear blue sky, and it was as if that green liquid regenerated her entire appearance.
Naraku entered the room while the syndacate worked at the power table that controlled everything about the tank. Two others were setting up this table and a machine above it. He couldn't tell what it was for but then one more came in with a covered box and a mirror.
"Here ya go. Nice hot gruel, straight from the stove." The syndacate just dropped the bowl on the ground splashing some of the steaming hot gruel on Hyde's face. "Gah!" He shook it off. "Don't complain if its too hot!" said another syndacate who was in the kitchen.
Naraku was wearing a black cape and his armour still. He had a suit on underneath it though. He seemed to be preparing for something.
Hyde ate quickly. He didn't care of the taste or the temperature.
He just kept his eyes fixed on her.
Once he was finished the syndacate chained him up again and took the bowl away.
He didn't care. He loved the look of her health. But he hated the look of where she was. So when he stared, he pictured them in the waters of a nearby lake where his village lay. He looked at how her hair wouldn't settle in the water. It was long, and it glistened just like stars at night. It fell easily to her sides when the water would stop pumping and renewing itself. But what he didn't like to see the most, was the fact that she was isolated and chained back.
"Is she fully restored?" Naraku asked one of the syndacate.
"Yes," replied the head of the power supply table.
"Alright then, begin drain and release."
'Drain and release?' thought Hyde. 'What could that possibly mean?'
The syndacate pressed a green button and soon the water began to drain slowly out of the tank. But even when the water was gone, the chains held her fast. Then another syndacate pressed a different button and they released her, making her fall. Luckily she fell on a bed of Moon Lillies. Then the tank opened and Naraku stepped in and picked her up. He changed her into the gown that was in the box and fixed a certain necklace around her neck. Then he set her on the table.
But Hyde never thought of what would happen next...
