well, last night my mom tried to suddenly drop in on us, and even worse wanted to haul me off for a week. she gave us a total three days warning. so that was very nice of her rolleyes

it's a long story, but basically she pulls this kind of thing fairly regularly, and it's a major piss off. but, again, it's a really long and complex story, so i'll spare you it for now.

in the end, it gave me a good chance to practice saying no and keeping my backbone. things have quited down now, and i'm hoping they can stay that way for the rest of the week.

after that i have to get more hours at my current job or find something else for the summer (i'm hoping for the former). then i'll be at least half way busy for the rest of the summer.

also, i really need to get going on my freelancing again.

but for today i'm going to just take it easy.
