The other day I went to see if I could find Silent Hill 4: Room of the Angel for PS2. Turns out I could buy one new for $24. So I thought "Hey, not a bad price." So the guy goes looking for the case and he can't find it after about 5 minutes. So he asks me if I wanted a blank case for it, and I told him "I would prefer the original case..." "Okay." So he looks again. Still can't find it. Then he asks me if I just want a blank case again. So this is what happens.
"Well, if I get the blank case, then I should get a discount or something, right? I mean, without the case, it's not new anymore, it's used. The used price you advertise as being $18."
"We can't do that, since the game is new itself. The case is just missing somewhere."
"Wait...normally you all put the instructions in the cases, right?"
"Yes."
"So you're telling me, you're going to give me a 'new' game without the case, or instructions, right?"
"Yeah..."
"Then just how is that new!? That's considered used right there if you don't even have the instructions! I mean, if it's new, then why did you take it out of the case!?"
"Well..."
"That's like giving me a car, but taking off the body."
"Do you want the game or not?"
"Not if you're going to charge me for a new game price when it obviously isn't."
And with that, I left. neutral Seriously...words couldn't even begin to describe how ticked off I was about it. I think it actually caused a small scene in the store, but I could care less. Serves them right!

I would have been like "If it's new, then how is the case missing? neutral "
