So, he texted me last night and we talked. We're going to try being friends and I could not be more grateful or relieved. Even if there were things he did as my boyfriend that I didn't like, he was an amazing friend and I couldn't stand the thought of losing him. He also was very sweet about making sure I understood that he was okay for me to pursue our friend Mike. Of course, I need time to emotionally process and heal so I won't be for a good while but he did ask a favour of me: He wants me to tell him when I tell Mike. Of course I said I would, as soon as I tell Mike he's involved in this whole mess and it could lead to some pretty awkward moment's. I don't want my now ex to side blindsighted so I told him I would.
I'm hoping that things will go well. I still miss him as my boyfriend but I know I'll be happier as friends.
