I heard this great saying about being mad/salty
It went a little like this
Anger is like drinking poison, expecting the other person to die.
Not forgiving someone is like drinking poison expecting the other person to die.
Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.
Which makes sense to me, since I thought about it.
I've been having a lot of road rage, and just plain anger issues since I started on
my birth control. I'm sure it has to do with my hormones, but it could also be because
of how I was raised. My parents were very easily angered perfectionists.
So for example, if someone were to cut you off in traffic, being angry at them or holding a grudge against them is kind of silly, now that I think about it. You're just hurting yourself and ruining your own day. You just want them to feel how you feel, but how can they, if they're totally oblivious to how you feel? I feel like I'm making this more complicated.
This is just a saying I need to keep in my own mind.
