I've been cooking a lot more to keep myself busy. Everything I make is usually by scratch, I hate short cuts when it comes to food. I believe that every single meal should be delicious, food should be delicious, it's a huge part of life in every aspect. Food is there always during the holidays, deaths, births, and just because, it is a large part of culture. So throughout this week I baked a vanilla cake and two baguettes and with one of the baguettes I made tomato bruschetta. I have come to love bruschetta, it is so simple and delicious. With the second baguette I just sliced and added tomato sauce and various cheeses and topped it with Italian herbs then popped it i the oven. Yum. I was honestly surprised how easy it was to make the baguettes, I will definitely be baking them again, plus they are expensive at the market. I wish I had more salt-less butter so I could do more baking to keep me busy. Speaking of food, I've always wanted a garden but it turns out the yard is infested with these worms that ruin everything. But happily I recently got English Thyme and Sage and it is growing in the window sill. It makes me happy to add fresh herbs to my meals. I love food. I do have a certificate of completion in culinary arts, but it's not something I want to do professionally. I just love feeding people, especially those who appreciate it and enjoy it.
