Thistle { Milktank }
Female
She's a bit greedy, but ultimately loyal to Damien. She tends to be rather pushy, insisting things always go her way. She often throws fits when she doesn't get what she wants. She's very tough though, and she just likes to throw fits.
Omen { Aggron }
Male
He's the sort to be incredibly passive and seemingly calm, until you anger him. He's got a long fuse, and a huge explosion. He can usually settle Thistle down when she's misbehaving, and acts almost like a Father to the team.
Kovu { Metagross }
Genderless
The ultimate calm on the team. Kovu is the recorder, and the mediator. Unlike Omen, Kovu commands complete respect from everyone. He is selfless, and gets into fights with Daimen because of their polar opposite attitudes. However, Kovu is always looking out for Daiment, and would never betray him.
Relic { Steelix }
Male
Hot-headed and arrogant, Relic is the first to run face first into any fight. He doesn't give up when he ought to, and ends up hurting himself more than need be. Daimen often has to physically try to stop him from jumping into a fight, even if it's with Thistle.
Daven { Skarmony }
Female
Daven is actually one of the kindest of the group. Once to get to know her of course. She's quite snappy otherwise. Although she's not territorial, if you get too close to Daimen's, she'll likely to take out an eye.
X { Zangoose }
Male
X is the silent type. He often stands towards the back and doesn't like to have anything to do with the other pokemon. He's secretly intimidated by Relic, and the other steel-types. He is fond of Thistle though. He often hangs out with her.
P e r s o n a l i t y :
- Damien is a sort of... well, malicious one could say. It's not so much that he's a bad person, but his careless. He doesn't usually care what others think of him, and if he did, it's probably because you insulted him and he punched your face off. He's rather violent, and would rather jump into a fight before he'd think things over twice. He enjoys leaving people in the dust and watching them struggle, a strange sort of enjoyment he got from feeling superior. He absolutely hates it when people talk down to him, thinking that he's dumb. He smart, but prefers physical over mental. He enjoys the physical world around him too much to be lost in the abstract. He does hate it when people use things as a crutch. He is all about self-reliance.
B a c k g r o u n d :
- Damien was born just outside of Olivine City, on the Moomoo Farm. Even from birth, the farm life wasn't suited to Damien's style. He detested farm-life for as long as he could possibly remember. The one thing he did love, was one particular runt of the litter Milktank. The poor thing was going to be thrown away when Damien saved and it and decided the two were too alike to let something like that happen.
It was the first time Damien had compassion for anything at all. His beloved Milktank, which he named Thistle, was always at his side. They worked in hard labor together, and taught themselves everything they needed to know. When Damien was forced to go to school, Thisle would follow him and wait outside for her beloved trainer.
Of course, Damien's parents disapproved of everything he did. He was a trouble-maker. He always got in fights at school, and always won. When he didn't he was sure to get revenge. He had no interest in all of those philosophical theories and whatnot. What did it matter? Life was what it was.
It was this mentality, at the age of eleven, that made him go to school one day, and never come back home. He stayed in Olivine City, went to the Gym, and tried to beat Jasmine. Of course, she refused to even fight him, which infuriated him. How dare she look down on him like that! He didn't need her pity.
With this fury, he left Olivine for his adventure. He was going to out-class her, and decimate her when he returned. Of course, that's exactly what Damien did. He traveled all around Johto and Kanto, collecting Gym Badges and pokemon until his team was completed.
He didn't return to Olivine until he was Seventeen. Now he had a steely team, with only two normal-types that struck his fancy. He challenged Jasmine, and even her right to be called the Steel Gym Leader of Olivine. He waged everything he had against her position as Gym Leader, and utterly decimated her. She was very upset by his fighting techniques, but a bet was a bet, and she handed over her position to him.
Damien has been the gym-leader ever since then, and has traveled even more extensively since then. He trains not only his team, but his own body, not wanting to use his Pokemon as a crutch for his own weakness. He has just set out on another trip around the two regions for a little exploration...
