Shattered
Little pieces,
Too small to glue back together,
Big enough to cut your skin,
Falling all around you.
The delicate glass,
So full of color, happiness,
Your life...
Just broken.
Of course you saw it coming.
Of course.
You knew it would happen,
But all you could do was watch.
As little by little,
Ever inch cracked,
Right in from of you.
Everything fell apart.
You cry, scream, beg,
As you try to put it all together.
Try to fix it before it breaks completely.
But, it never seems to work.
Your hands are worn,
bloody, and scarred,
from trying too hard.
From the beautiful colors...
That have seemed to turn on you
It.... It hurts now.
Because you know it's coming.
You know it won't last.
So in those last moments,
As each piece shatters,
And falls in all around you,
You can do nothing.
Except watch.
While yet again,
The world is shattered.
And you can't be sure how to fix it again.
