Went to this great concert tonight that made me think more of how great God is, not only that but how great it is too see someone come to him!! It also made me think about our society today and how spoiled we are.
The main band '33 Miles' talked about there trip to a third world country and running into kids that didn't even know how to was their hands! Their houses had nothing, and if it wasn't for donations (even $1 DONATIONS) they would have even less! But they were so happy with what they had, and content with it. But us in America if we don't get the latest electronics, or the latest clothing its like 'LIFE ISN'T FAIR!' We're thinking so much that our life is horrible, but when you look right down to it, were living THE life.
In first Timothy Paul rights 'The love of money is THE root of all evil' in other words, it causes all the horrible things in the world. And no where else is it more evident than in America. We are bombarded with sex, drugs, selfishness, mental abuse, physical abuse, and much more. And you know what we have a lot of money. But in third world countries families stick together, love each other, are content with what little they have, and help each other. And honestly if money causes the spiritual and physical damage as shown in the 'civilized' countries, I would rather live without it, and be content with what I have.(Now money is not bad, but the love of it is.)

Growth in God
Basically charting my growth in God
"BUT ALL the optimism of the age had been false and disheartening for this reason, that it had always been trying to prove that we fit in to the world. The Christian optimism is based on the fact that we do NOT fit in to the world." - G.K. Chesterton
