The most amazing Miracle ever done by Jesus was not turning water into wine, or the feeding of the multitude. It was not the calming of the storm or the healing of the sick girl, nor was it the raising Lazarus from the dead. It wasn't even Him raising from the dead, though surely all of these were miracles. The greatest miracle of Christ is the most believable of them all, though also the most contested. The greatest miracle He did was that He died for us at all... That is the greatest Miracle of Christ, to die for a sinful world that had turned their backs on him... The love of God is greater still...

Could one deny that this is a miracle? Surely for God to even take notice of man, let a lone die for man is an impossible thing that shouldn't have been possible, but was. It is at one moment the most believable and the least believable of the Miracles of Christ. Contested often by many, though not always for the reason of His death. It is a rather odd paradox that those who believe it the most are those who do not believe, but those who believe it least or find it the hardest to believe are those that do believe. Could this not be in itself a testament for its having happened? That those who believe that God died for man are those that find it hardest to believe? This, I would hold, is one of the greatest testaments of Christ, that despite how hard it is to believe by those who believe it, it is believed by them. Though to those who find it the easiest to believe it is disbelieved by them.
