Day 1: I have decided to read Lamitations first. So far my knowledge of God has stayed the same, BUT the defence and knowledge of the Bible has increased. At Wednessday bible study at church today we covered 'Pre Destination', and 'if being good is enough to get into heaven'. the first one is a toughy but i do stand against the idea of Pre-Destination, and i think if everything is Pre-Determined, then there is no reason to really do anything, the point of life is gone, and it goes to being Meaningless. And i bet most of you(who are Bible believe Christians) are saying 'duh of course being good isn't enough' well the verse we were refering to was John 5:29 which states 'And shall come froth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.' Which for a long time kept us stumped, UNTIL! Aaron(one of the people in the youth group) looked up what the words, Good and Evil were referring to in this passage. Basically it could have been changing a good thing(to which we first thought it ment) to THE Good Thing, which changes everything, The Good Thing could only be referring to one thing, most likely knowing Christ as your Lord, God, and Savior. And, I can't remember exacty what Evil could have been referring too. It has been an eventful day, and i hope my fast works and brings me closer to God(I'll nickname it my Old Testiment fast, because i will be reading from the Old Testiment mostly)
