Chapter 6: The Ultrasound
The Sohma house had a bit of a crazy morning, from Yuki going off on Ayame, fueled mainly by his mood swings. Kyo almost swore that he saw Yuki tried to toss Ayame through the sliding door. The other Sohmas and Tohru let Yuki blow off some steam for a while, until 1:00 came around. "C'mon, Yuki." Shigure beckoned to Yuki. "It's time for the ultrasound."
Yuki stood up, grabbed his coat and followed the others to the car. Akito and Hatori met them at the Sohma estate gates. Just before they entered Hatori's office, Kyo heard the dreaded sound: "KYO-KUN!!!!!!!" He only managed to whip around in that direction before he was tackled by Kagura. "AGGH! GOD!" Kyo screeched. Kagura squealed, "Oh, Kyo-kun, it's so nice to see you again!" Kagura looked up at the Sohmas and Tohru, smiling. "Hi, guys!" she giggled. "How're you?"
Shigure lightly patted Yuki's back. "Yuki just came by so Hatori could give him his ultrasound." he smirked, thinking that Akito shared this with her. He neglected to do so, however. Kagura stared at Yuki with wide eyes. "You're pregnant!?" she gasped. "It's been 4 months now." Kyo grumbled. "You'd think she'd know this by now." Kagura glared at him, forcing him to back down. Yuki smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I am." "Am what?" another voice asked. Rin, Kisa, Hiro and Ritsu arrived shortly behind Kagura. Yuki sighed and told them, "Pregnant."
Rin and Ritsu merely stared, while Kisa and Hiro squealed delightedly. Kisa and Hiro ran over to Yuki to extend their congratulations. "Thanks, guys." Yuki smiled at them. "Come on, Yuki." Hatori lead Yuki into the office, the other Sohmas and Tohru in close pursuit. The room was set up eccspecially for Yuki's ultrasound. Yuki instinctively laid down on the hospital bed, pulling his shirt up. The others gathered around Yuki to give him what support they could. Hatori grabbed a bottle from the counter and poured some of the gel on Yuki's stomach. Yuki winced, "God, that's cold."
Hatori smiled, "Sorry. I'll warm it up next time." He grabbed the probe and pressed it against Yuki's womb. Everyone glanced at the moniter to see a blurry image of what was a baby resting, curled inside Yuki's womb. "There it is." Hatori smiled. Yuki placed his hands to his mouth, his eyes filling with tears of bliss. The girls squealed and complimented them on how cute the baby was. The guys lightly patted Yuki's shoulder in congratulation...except for Ritsu, who stared at the moniter in amazement. Then he noticed something. "What's that?" he said pointing to a spot in the middle of the moniter. There was an extra hand moving around behind the baby they were looking at. Hatori cocked an eyebrow, moving the probe around to see it. With a warm smile, he said to Yuki, "Congratulations, Yuki." Yuki looked at the moniter and saw: "It's a pair of healthy twins."
"T-t-twins!?" Yuki stammered in surprise. Most of the guys continued their congratulations to Yuki. Ritsu and Kyo however, were in complete shock. They stammered for a few seconds before fainting. "Aaaaaaannnnnd, Ritsu and Kyo's out cold." Shigure sighed. As the Mabudachi trio kneeled down next to Ritsu and Kyo to see if they were ok, Yuki held the probe in place and watched the moniter intently.
He was having twins. That explained why Ayame could feel it when the 'baby' kicked him in the face. They both kicked at the same time then. A tear of joy ran down his face. A tear that Akito wiped away. "What's wrong?" Akito asked. Yuki looked up at him, still crying but crying tears of bliss. "I-I...just...I'm just really happy." he said, taking shaky breaths. Akito smiled and hugged the younger Sohma to comfort him, lightly stroking his hair. Other than the morning sickness, mood swings, cravings and the inevitable painful 12-hour birth, Yuki was going to like being pregnant.

Wow, I got this far in one day!!!!! eek I think this chapter's my favorite so far.......but I think my ultimate favorite will probably be the birth scene.

P.S. I honestly was dumb enough to think that Rin was Ritsu. I honestly did. sweatdrop
