Unavoidable Trait
I'm stuck in the past
wondering how long I'd last.
Even now when I think
that my like began to sink,
from the cause of that year
I have found a heart link
that would grow into an ache
with mental pain seen clear
This secret pursuit
of this hidden truth.
That lies in the dark
as an unlit spark
until it reveals a broken heart.
Locked up emotional seals.
Solitude; and silent appeals,
slow, painful heals
wanting to be complete.
Impatience changes it
into a heart that is implicit
One that will not beat
by the loss of it's heat
fueled by that fleeing passion
that I hope to never repeat...
Was it always like this?
To be lost in this mist?
Has it always been like that?
For me to stray from the path?
