Chapter 4: Davy Jones is Watching.
Ever since the private dinner they had, Elaine and Alejandro avoided one another. It seemed to the crew that they had grown to get used to each other, but refused to admit it. They even picked on them about it behind they're backs. "Elaine and Alejandro, sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-" Winnie sung outloud down in the galley. Rebecca and Grace were laughing wildly, even Rose giggled...until Elaine walked down into the galley. "Whatcha singin', Winnie?" Elaine asked. "NOTHING!" Winnie said rather quickly, a sweatdrop running down her head. Elaine shrugged off her suspicion and sat down next to her first mate.
Alejandro came down next. One glance at the captain that kidnapped him put a rosey tint on his face. He just nervously waved to her. As he walked past, one of the crewmates got completely random and flirty (mostly random.) and grabbed his butt. "Hey!" Alejandro shouted, jumping back a little. "Jennifer." Elaine scowled. "Just a joke, captain." Jennifer apoligized. "Better be." Elaine sneered. She gestured to Alejandro to sit down next to her. "Sorry about that, Alejandro." She apoligized. "That's ok." Alejandro waved it off. "Women are just attracted to you, aren't they?" Rebecca said jokingly. "REBECCA!!" Elaine screeched, her face turning pink.
"Sorry, captain." Rebecca said, the mischeivous smirk didn't fade. "Just pointing out the obivious." Elaine scowled at her for a second, but Alejandro merely chuckled, "That's true." Elaine's eyes widened and she turned to gape at him. Then Alejandro remembered something, hitting him like an anvil falling on his head. "Back in Madrid...I was engaged to the governors daughter of Barcelona." He muttered to himself. This pulled Elaine's heart right out of her chest. She hung her head and stared at the floor to hide a tear forming in her eye. "But, she was possessive, neurotic and, I got to admit, a little annoying." Alejandro chuckled. This picked Elaine's spirits right back up again. She wiped the tear away and turned to Alejandro, "I bet you couldn't stand her, huh?" "Uh...not really, no." Alejandro said with a smirk.


"Hmmm," a man muttered to himself. He was watching the whole conversation from his own personal crystal ball. With a sigh, he covered the ball with a cloth and returned to his piano. He began to play a haunting tune...until a little heart-shaped music box next to his 'claw' (he didn't have hands.) began it's own tune. He gazed at it with sad, black eyes, his octopus tentacle beard hanging limp with misery. He whispered to himself, every bit of his voice dripping with sorrow, "...Calypso." If you've ever seen the Pirates of the Caribbean, you know who this is: Davy Jones. "Captain?" Davy Jones heard from the door to his quarters.
He quickly wiped a stray tear from his eye and faced his first mate. (And boy, was his first mate ugly!!!!) "Yes?" he asked. "We're coming up on a Norwegian ship." The first mate saluted, "Shall we attack?" Davy Jones thought for a second and said to his first mate with an evil smirk, "Release the Krakken." His first mate saluted and walked away.
Davy Jones pulled the cloth off of the crystal ball and looked again. Now he saw the crew working like bees, Alejandro watching the horizon and Elaine commanding the crew. "Oh, young Elaine Chamberlain, soon your father's debt will be paid."

P.S. I'm just thinking...should the pirate crew take more governor's sons? Elaine probably shouldn't be the only one that falls in love with a son of the governor. sweatdrop
