HUNGRY!!!!!!!
"Uh! My feet are killing me! Can't we stop for a while?" Delila complained to me. We had walked for quite a while since we left Priestess Kaede's village. "Quit your whining! We haven't even gotten that far yet!" Sometimes i thought Delila was such a wimp. "Easy for you to say! Your a half demon! Your body can endure a lot more than a human like me can!" She was right. I should be considerate of her. I being a half demon have a lot more energy than a human and my body is a lot tougher. There's no way Delila would be able to keep up with me if we kept going like this. "All right. We'll stop, but only for five minutes. I want to find this Naraku guy as soon as possible." Delila smiled and nodded, then heaved a great sigh of relief as she plopped herself down on a nearby boulder.
Delila took her shoes off and began rubbing her feet. I squatted on the ground waiting, to set off again. My ears perked up. I heard a sound, like some demon moaning and grumbling. Probably looking for a meal. I leaped to my feet, ears perked up, as I listened for the incoming monster. The unknown creature growled again. I growled back, still searching for the demon. I looked to Delila to see if she could see where it was. Delila was laughing. Confused, I ran up to her. "Delila? Delila?! Are you ok? Did the demon put some kind of spell on you?!" She laughed even harder at that. She laughed so hard that she fell off of the boulder she was sitting on and was now rolling on the ground laughing her head off. I grabbed her and tried to shake some sense into her. Eventually, she calmed down, tears were rolling down her cheeks she was laughing so hard. "Are you ok now Delila?" I asked, concerned for her safety. With a smile across her face as she wiped away the tears on her face, still with a slight giggle in her voice, Delila replied "That wasn't a demon, Kimiko. That was my stomach!" I glared at her with daggers as she began to laugh again. "I'm just hungry. I haven't eaten since we left my world. Do you think we can get something to eat around here?" I smacked her upside the head, seriously irritated with her. "Ow! What was that for?!" she yelled at me. "You shouldn't play jokes on me like that! You know that! With the danger around here I'm always on my guard!" I looked at her and she still had a chuckle or two, but she had pretty much calmed down. "I'm sorry, you were just so funny growling at nothing like that! You remind me of my friend's dog who barks at the doorbell every time it rings." She reached up and scratched my ear. I swatted her hand away. "Hey! I'm not a pet! I'm not some dumb mutt that trails after someone waiting for scraps!" She still smiled at me. "Come on, let's go." I turned and began to walk again. Delila got up and came after me, still with that smile slapped across her face. "She's really starting to irritate me with that now." I thought to myself. And I watched her skip along ahead of me, leaving me to walk behind her and mumble to myself about how sometimes she irks me a lot.
