okay, so i finally did fall asleep for awhile, but not until about 5am -_- and i slept until around about 1ish so now i'm not doing too bad. the sad thing is, i usually sleep until around noon even when i go to bed at a descent hour. in fact, that's probably part of the reason i couldn't sleep last night, because i had stored up so much sleep that i just didn't need any more at the time o.o oh well, hopefully now i can get back on track.

i've been trying to gradually wake up earlier everyday, especially if i'm going to get a job :p

oh wait, that reminds me! the best thing happened!!! i'm off the hook for getting another job biggrin

see, i have this contract based thing with the Associated Press (doing data entry during voting season). it doesn't bring in enough to cover all the bills though, so i was going to have to find another job for the summer. but things changed a little at casey's work last week. from now on they're paying her for the time she comes in a little early too (typically about 15 minutes early every day she works), and EVEN BETTER they're counting back time too!!! so instead of having a rather skimpy pay check this month and next, she's actually going to have an even bigger one then usual!

so we just got off the phone, and she had done the math from this increase, and she says to me "i can cover ALL the bills on my paycheck alone, which means we don't have to touch savings at all this month (savings is my left over financial aid meant to cover all the bills and expenses shy of rent, electricity, and her phone bill)! that means that we'll have it for use in august (which we probably wouldn't have had any left and would have been in dire straights)! And even after all the bills AND budgetting for food I'll have a spare $150 about left over!

she then precedeed to tell me that this meant i didn't have to get another job, that if i could call AP this next week and ask to start working on sports data entry as well or any other areas they might need someone, that this should be more then enough to get us through the summer!

I'm ecstatic!!! this means not only do i not have to start pounding the pavement this next week, with a little luck all i'll need is a single phone call, and then i can focus on my freelancing this summer! and hopefully i'll get some paying gigs freelancing over the next couple months, in which case we'll be even better off!

I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!!
