The sky was glowing a bright golden orange.The wind howled in the distance , while all was quiet you would swear there was someone in the distance singing. Down near the glowing lake,bright with the skies reflection, there sat a boy who's silver hair glowed with the orange light radiating off the sun set. He could always be found at this spot at this exact time every day, as if waiting for something or someone.
"Hiroki?" came the soft chime of a black haired girl with chocolate eyes,"your always out here during sun set why?"
The boy just smiled, his smile turned into laughter before finaly dying down. He looked up at the girl and opened his mouth.
"Because its so peaceful & calms me after a day of hardship,"he answered patting the space next to him self, inviting the girl to sit. She walked over & bent down.
"Your lying to my face again, Hiro,"she reprimanded crossing her arms then sitting down.
"No its the truth Toshiro,when I'm depressed or need to be alone,i come here at sun set."
"Bah, you could talk to me about your problems"
"I already have shrink Toshi."
"yeah well she's too serious & she's such a know it all!"
"yet you talk to her about your problems all the time."
Hiroki smiled triumphantly only to get glared at by Toshiro. Toshiro turned her attention to the lake with a sigh fiddling with her cell phone then letting out another sigh.
"Something wrong Toshiro?"Hiroki looked at her worriedly.
"nah, i just gotta random text from Daisuke" she replied with a small smile. Hiroki's eyes then lowered to the grass and he plucked a daisy with an "oh."
"Come on Hiro-kun you can't let what happened between you two get to ya,"She patted his back with a comforting smile.
last month, Hiroki spoke with Daisuke at his locker. He had just put his books away when Hiroki Came running stopping in front of him with a skid.
"I.HAVE.SOMETHING.I.HAVE.TO.SAY.DAISUKE!" Hiroki panted between words. Daisuke smiled and replied,"i have some new to tell you too."
"You first."
"ok,"Daisuke started with a smile," you know the guy i like, right? well just the other day he kept accidentally calling his boyfriend by my name! isn't that great!?"
Hiroki sat there for a second thinking,'he likes someone already?'. There was a look on his face as if he was a child who lost his favorite stuffed animal.
"Hey, you wanted to tell me something?"
"Its nothing,"Hiroki answered,"I'm happy for you to have found love."
He knew Daisuke didn't mean him because Hiroki had yet to date anyone in his life except for the one girl that was to see if he was straight or gay.
"thanks Hiro that means allot to me,"Daisuke smilled.
Later that night-
Hiroki laid in his bed crying into his pillow. He clung to his stuffed tiger , Chris, for comfort.
"How could i be so stupid!?"He mentally slapped himself ,"I should've known I'd end up, every time I've fallen in love it ends with me hurt"
Hiroki sat next to Toshiro remembering that day and how it scared his heart.When suddenly Toshiro Hoped up answering her phone that had been ringing for the past few minutes. she answered it with a,"hi, Kai!? sure when? ok see u then byes."
"Hey Hiro I've Gotta go Kai wants me to hang out with him & Mai tonight, tay?" she looked at Hiroki still with worry on her facial features. Hiroki just answered with simply,"yeah"
"you sure?"
"yeah you go ahead I'm just Ganna Go home."
"ok," was the final thing she said before leaving. shortly after he left as well and returned to his home. He opened the front door yelling,"I'mHome!!"
Upon hearing the nonchalant reply of his uncle he entered his room lying on his bed falling asleep in about 4 minutes.
