The Thoughts and Feelings of OuEstLaCraie
A place for thoughts, ramblings, and reflections; a sort of blog, if you will, where I'll share the daily drudgery of my life, the fun things I do with friends, and any random ideas I have for rolling around in my noggin. Enjoy : )

So, did everyone have a nice Halloween? Mine was pretty uneventful...kinda dull, and not at all Halloween-feeling. I walked around with my friends Emma and Molly (in the aptly named "Number Streets," for the streets over thataways are-yep, you guessed it-numbered), and eventually met up with my other friend Sade and her younger brother. We walked around from about four or so (we were a band of gypsys, jingly jewelry and shmatas and all), until about seven-thirty, then went back to Emma's house for a bit. We exchanged some candy (and ate even more), and watched Spider-Man 3 (well, actually, it was just kind of on, while we paid no attention to it mrgreen ). Anywho, we all went home at about eight, and...that was it. It was fun and all, don't get me wrong; but it just didn't feel much like Halloween at all.
Oh, except for this one part of the night. There were two house next door to each other on the street we were trick-or-treating on (18th, I think), and both went super crazy decorating. And me, being the fraidy cat I am, refused to go up to the first house. When Emma and Molly returned (after telling the little girl at the door that their teenaged friend was too scared to come up the walk and get candy xp ), I decided to go up to the next house with them. Unfortunately, something moved half way up the walk and I once again returned to the safety of the sidewalk to await their return.
Thank God I did. For as they turned to leave, some little kid in a costume (and wielding a shovel) jumped out at them. Molly jumped a little, and Emma just said, "Ah haha, nice!" I swear to God, I would have literally dropped dead of fright if I'd been with them.
I felt a little better later on, though, when Sade got scared by the same kid mrgreen At least it's not just me...
So, anyway, it was a fun night. And plus, what other night of the year can you break all the rules your parents ever told you, and get candy from random strangers you don't know? At NIGHT, no less! Yay, All Hallow's Eve.
Post your Halloween experiences in the comments, and we'll compare notes! OuEst~*
p.s.--I am currently obsessed with Stephen King's It. I watched the movie a few nights before Halloween, then dug the book out of my parents shelves in the garage, and am currently about halfway through (it is one looooooong book!). I figured it was an appropriate time to read it, though, and it's really good. Thus, the "Kiss me, fatboy!" in the media spot. mrgreen
p.p.s.-- (damn...or is it p.s.s.?) I want a boy (even a fat little boy) to write me a haiku... sad
Just thought I'd share.
LOL razz
