Mood: whee / xp (excited/dead tired)
I'm proud of myself! I took a stand against haters between the different "Summer Festival" teams, and I made a post about the mule-using cheaters that I'm actually pretty proud of! (the post, not the cheaters!) This is what I wrote:
Quote: Ok people, I don't deny that there are tons of people, on ALL teams, who are cheating, but think about it: yes, our bar hasn't moved much, but the other teams aren't making as much progress as they were in the beginning either! And you know what else? Despite all the people on other teams who may or may not be spamming us with mule accounts, WE'RE WINNING! What does that tell you about the TRULY active Durem teammates? That we'd have to be working our a$$es off just to keep up, but we keep pulling farther and farther ahead! And I have to say, Bravo fellow Duremites! Keep at it! Whether people are cheating or not, we can still stay in the lead, and stay strong. And when we win, we'll have a clear conscience, because we'll know that we didn't resort to cheating to do it! So ignore the haters, and the cheaters, and just buck up and keep going! And, above all; Go Durem!
Sadly, I believe the thread had mostly cleared out, so I'm not sure anyone was there to read my stirring speech (erm, post)... Oh well, perhaps someone will enter the post and read my sp-- er, post, and actually take some interest in it. Maybe they'll even re-post it in other threads, where it will be read and shared! Well, probably not, but it would be really nice if it happened...
Oh well, maybe I'll just have to re-post it somewhere myself. But not now; I'm too tired, and it's getting late. But, strangely, I still feel like writing in here, so I think I will... Meh, it's not like anyone actually reads my journal anyway, right? Didn't think so.
Anyway, I'm excited about tomorrow, because it's the Cook Out/Kick Off for my Youth Group tomorrow night, and it's always fun to go, stuff my face, and play volleyball with people I barely know... And see the girls in my small-group and my guy friend, who is annoying-in-a-funny-way... (or is it funny-in-an-annoying-way?) Anyway, it's also bad, because it means that school's starting again soon... WAAAHHH!!! gonk IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!! (as you can tell, I don't want to go to school...) I DON'T WANNA, I DON'T WANNA, I DON'T WANNA!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes, I can be a baby about that sort of thing sometimes...) School, for me, is a mix of good and bad things: +I get to see my friends every day. +I get to sing in chorus every day. +I get to play my bass clarinet every day. +I get to see my favorite teachers every day. +I get to hear more "Hutch-isms." -I have to put up with my friends' immaturity every day. -I have to sing every day. -I have to play my bass clarinet every day. -I have to see my teachers every day. -I have to put up with more "Hutch-isms." -I have to do homework. -I have to ride the bus. -I have to get up early.
...Need I say more? Because I can think of more... Well, I suppose school means other things too... Like my bowling league is starting soon, and I might be able to get some of my friends from other schools to join... And Homecoming is coming up soon, so I have to practice marching in Band, but it's OUR year, since we're the seniors this year, and we can pick a GOOD theme this year!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! My laptop is dying! I've gotta go, I'll finish this entry later!
