Math had passed by quickly and I was heading for my biology class. I had both regular biology and biology lab in the same damned room today. I looked down at the paper and read the number to myself.
'202' I headed up a set of stairs and turned down the hall to my right. I shoved myself passed some jocks. They began to holler at me angrily but I decided not to bother with them and walked into room 202. The class room was on more than half full, or half empty, either way you looked at it.
A woman in a long white lab coat walked up to me. Her really red hair was pulled back into a tight bun and her green eyes shined behind her glasses.
"You're Tamika, I presume?" She asked.
I nodded and said nothing. The second bell rang and the class was nearly full except for a few empty seats at the waist height black marble tables. The woman lightly placed her hands on my shoulders and turned me to the class. That blonde Linda was here too.
"Class," The woman started and the teens shut their traps immediately as if afraid of her and looked up at us. "We have a new student. Her name is Tamika Sprite." It was quiet…really quiet. Probably quiet enough to hear a pin fall to the floor. The silence was then broken with a voice saying,
"She has weird eyes." The class fell into laughter and the woman turned me back to her. Her face was to close for comfort as she examined me.
"Hmm." She hummed curiously. "They're an odd purple."
"They're contacts." A voice accused. I rolled my violet eyes and shook my head.
"Class." The pretty woman said turning back to them and they all fell into silence again.
'They are defiantly afraid of her.' I thought with a small smirk on my lips.
She turned back to me and my smirk faded quickly.
"You may take the empty seat next to Vladimir." She pointed to a kid in the third row on the right by the windows. I slowly made my way to him and stepped over Linda's foot that was sticking out to attempt to trip me…again. But to my surprise I fell flat on my face as another blonde, excuse me, dirty blonde, stretched out her foot quickly. The class broke out in laughter again. I moaned at the slight pain and stood retrieving my new math text book and my notebook.
"Lilly!" The teacher bellowed. "How dare you trip Tamika like that!"
"I'm sorry Miss McCormick. I wasn't paying any attention to what I was doing." She said innocently.
"Make sure it doesn’t happen again." Miss McCormick said in a slow sigh.
I glared at Lilly as I took my seat next to Vladimir. Him being next to the window, not me. I put my math text in my bag and put my bag on the floor. I opened the notebook and took a pen out of my pant pocket as Miss McCormick began the lesson.
'Damn whore.' I thought angrily and wrote her name down next to Linda's. 'They're both in for a joyful ride.'
