Hi, hi!
Finally got our car fixed.
I say "our" because the car belongs to my younger brother and me because he took out a loan to purchase it from his exes father and I'm the one who has the license.
I, unfortunately, have the responsibility of driving.
There was an issue with the Transmission Control Module. It caused the car to stall while I was driving, even when accelerating. We had this issue for a year but we didn't have the expenses to fix it ourselves. The part itself costs a lot of money as well as the labor costs.
I got a letter from Ford, telling me that there was a recall for that part. I called my local dealership to notify them and they told me that while the warranty was extended 10 years, it had expired because it went over 10 years.
Luckily, they made an exception and took the car in. They had it since Friday and they finally were able to do the needed repairs.
They even fixed 2 other recalls (at the time I called them, they asked me if I wanted to repair those, too but I had refused and I'm not sure why I did) but I'm grateful they went ahead and did those additional repairs! The man in charge simply said, "We did it while it was here!".
It was just for the door latches and an engine tank deformation that was affecting the accuracy of the "miles to empty" notification.
Before taking the car for repairs, I was worried because I couldn't drive it. The car wasn't safe to drive on the streets, at all.
I got the car back today and it drove so smoothly. I didn't have to worry about f*cking up the transmission of the vehicle when I drove quicker.
I also had a convo with my younger brother about his ex and a friend of his. (Mostly just him venting and being retrospective while I listened to him as I ate a burger.)
We always do when we're depressed. It happens, I guess.
Until next time! yum_burger
