Right before I left for Sweden my older brother, Chris, was diagnosed with a rare cancer in his leg. He is confined to walking with a cane. He has to go immediatly into chemo and if it doesn't work they will have to amputate his leg. Chris is 20 and I am 16. Although we are half siblings we both look remarkably like our father. We both have thick brown hair and beauty. The only differences are our eye color and our type of beauty.
Since I was little I noticed my looks were set in stone. Firm and tan. My brother was always much more delicate. His skin was about ten shades lighter than mine and the color of pale cream. I would feel abit better if he was more like me. His arms and legs are soft and long. Mine are sturdy and decorated with cuts and scars. Mine come from years and years of rough housing and falling.
Chris is the quiet one. With pale blue eyes and a smile that makes ladies crazy. He is in 2 bands and loves to play the guitar. He is always patient and calm. I am the exact opposite. I am loud and moody and enjoy fighting with my friends. My eyes are a loud brown with bright splashes of green. I think about my long legs and panic. I wonder if I'll get cancer too. I heard that cancers has run in his side of the family. My banged up legs have helped me run and fight, ecspecially in my karate class. I would go crazy if I had to walk with a cane. I am in Sweden right visiting Meijerem. I am over 8000 miles away from my brother. I hope he knows that I love him.
