The Dresden Dolls were a goth-styled, punk-rock-cabaret band that were ********' incredible. A 2 piece band made up of 2 of the most talented people a completely untalented person like me has ever seen. Amanda Palmer does vocals and plays piano like a beast. She also does most if not all of the songwriting as far as I know. Brian Viglione is on drums and is my number 1 favorite drummer of all time. I wish I could play drums half as well as him. He is on a short list of people who I feel play drums like a musical instrument rather than just a percussion/rhythm section of a band. Brian also does backing vocals and even plays guitar on a few of their tracks. This band didn't make nearly enough content to satisfy my taste for them. They split up in around 2008 and did a handful of "reunion" shows mostly in Europe. As for this song; it's great. It's near the top of my favorite songs by them, and this fan made music video is very well done and suiting to the bands style. This song isn't the best example of their musical style, but I always liked how catchy it was in a non-traditional way. It took a few times listening to it for me to appreciate it fully. I don't know many people who have even heard of the Dresden Dolls but the few that I do are automatically awesome for it. As always, I hope you listen to, and enjoy this music that I love.
