Kyler was raised in castle that might as well been a prison, he still hasn't seen all of it. Since he was born as one of the many heirs to the throne, like them he had a task given by his father the king to complete in order to earn the right to be the king’s successor.

While he was still a child he and the other heirs were put into training with the military they were taught survival and combat, taught how to steal and lie.
One instance his teacher Sergeant Reeves told him for training with he was to steal a fork for the dining hall after supper; but anyone caught stealing would be beaten and their food withheld for a week. He reached his goal by planting dining fork in one of his brother's pockets and reported him and as he was being beaten Kyler simply walked away with another fork.

Needless to say the life drained him of his childhood, his innocence. His eyes had bags and looked almost soulless. His hair was cut like a soldier short against the scalp. Kyler’s big piercing brown gaze demanded respect of whom ever it fell upon. He had a chiseled jaw and a seeming permanent scowl. And a cut on his cheek from the training he had as a child.

Kyler's task was to give Khaildor a new nation to rule and to spread the empire. He had a whole legion at his disposal which was enough soldiers to start and finish a war.
Kyler forced his way to the castle knowing that’s where the royals would be.

Kyler steeped through the splintered remains of the front gate. His face hidden by his black and white mask with a demonic smile that curved from ear to ear; long raven black hair weaving in a braid inside sliver chain.
The only armor he wore was a simple flexible steel plate that wrapped around his abdomen. And his sword, Curoach it was a birthright and his pride and joy.
A dragon that coiled around it formed the handle its head grafted into the bottom of the blade and breathed a colored flame depending on emotion and its blade was like glass and diamond at the moment the flame glowed a rich emerald.

To enemy soldiers approached him swords drawn. The first charged with his sword rose attempting to cleave Kyler in half. Kyler sidestepped and brought Curoach into the man's neck and pulled out again. Then spinning to block the next attack and sending a twinge of magic in his leg and kicking the guard chest, he relished feeling of it cave into itself. A chuckle escaped him as he jumped to a rooftop with the used of magic.

“Form a perimeter around the main building, capture any and all nobles you see. Do not harm the princesses or the royal family they will be made an example for all the country to fear the might of Khail and her country!" His order was met with a cry of triumph from his men. Kyler traversed across the roof tops at a full sprint jumping across gaps and alleys. He saw his entrance an open balcony, focusing Kyler sheathed Curoach and jumped... but not high enough his fingers just grazed the edge of the railing sending him sailing off to the right. Now in free fall scrapped his hands against the wall searching for anything to arrest his momentum. His hands finally caught a window set into the stone and steal masonry he grabbed on with both handed he pulled himself up

There was a whooshing sound getting louder and louder behind him, suddenly the world exploded in a hail of stone. The spire had been hit by one of the catapults and the pointed roof was falling, and with his luck toward his side of the tower
. Quickly scrambling up the rest of the way he entered what seemed to be a closet, he heard the roofing carving out a gash as it fell taking everything under it with it. Kyler kicked open the closet to see a girl moving down a set of stairs, rushing to the center of the room the roof crashed through the stairwell taking half the spiraling staircase with it.
