Here is another good 'You Know You're addicated To DDR When....' that I found <3
You Know You're addicated To DDR When....
... you go into withdrawal when you don't play. ... you talk the talk ("that newb's island hopping and bar hugging!", "he got a black flag on LoM!" wink ... and you walk the walk (what kind of DDR addict doesn't play on a pad/mat/machine??) ... you sneer at people who play on a regular controller. ... you scream and panic when people step on your dance pad when they're not playing. ... you kicked someone out of your house when they stood on your pad with shoes. ... and never let them back in until they took off their shoes. ... you have a modded pad. or several. ... you've had pads die because of over-use. ... you mourned for your dead pad(s) ... DDR is depicted in your room somehow (posters, pictures, dead pads-gone-wall-decorations...) ... you've drawn DDR art (charry fan art, song-inspired art, someone playing DDR, etc.) ... you know who Myst is. ... you know what Myst looks like. ... you've met Myst in person. ... you know who your local champ is. ... you've had DDR training sessions (work on PA, stamina, speed, routine, etc.) ... you're on a DDR team or group of some sort. ... you've joined an online community for DDR. ... one that isn't even located where you are (come back, DDRUK.com! ;_ wink ... you haven't felt this way about a video game before. ... you own clothing that depicts DDR (a team tee, shoes with the arrows on it, etc.) ... and constantly wear it/them. ... when you're talking about DDR, people constantly tell you to take a deep breath & calm down. ... you've yelled at a poser/faker and told them to stop making a mockery of DDR. ... someone has shadowed you when you were playing. ... your mp3 player is full of DDR songs. ... you have a CD full of DDR songs. ... and it's burned. ... and customized (as in, not just an album, but your fave songs) ... you know the lyrics to many DDR songs. ... you know of songs that aren't in DDR games/machines in your country. ... you own copies of foreign DDR games. ... and they're official copies. ... or they're bootleg &/or burned. either way, you got 'em, right? ... passing a song you've been working on for a while is a cause for celebration. ... and you have people to celebrate with. ... many of your journal/diary/blog entries go along the lines of "today i finally passed (insert song here)!! thanks to all of those people that helped. i'm glad that training finally paid off!" ... (if you have a blog) you're in a DDR blogring. ... you're in several DDR blogrings. ... you (co-)created a DDR blogring. ... (if you have a website) you're in a DDR webring. ... you're in several DDR webrings. ... you (co-)created a DDR webring. ... you've had a DDR-related injury (i'm not talking about soreness now) ... but that didn't stop you from playing. ... you've shed blood playing DDR (cuts, scrapes, more icky serious stuff, etc.) ... you play even though you're sick/injured. ... you play until your legs/lungs give out. ... you would pay for someone's game of DDR just to get them to try it and stop hating it. ... DDR haters make you angry (violence optional) ... or sad/depressed (crying optional) ... or make you wonder what's wrong with them. ... when people say they don't know what "DDR" is, you (almost) pass out. ... you think it's crazy that it's not an official sport yet. ... you signed a petition to make DDR an official sport. ... you want to move to Norway because DDR is an official sport there. ... you use "DDR" as a verb (i.e. "i DDRed for 2 hours today...) ... that's the only way you know how to dance. ... or that's the only way you choose to dance. ... you think a school dance should include a few DDR machines. ... you're reading this list. ... you're using this as a checklist for what to do. ... you've contributed to this list. (or will contribute. *hint hint*)
