One Earth we had a funeral for Eva, my mother. Two weeks later my dad, me, and Darian's family, Mom's brother, are heading to my mother's home planet. My grandparents want to have a funeral there and bury her ashes in our family gave yard. That is why we are now on the spachship.
In the conrtol center Darian was driving it while Dan was there to keep componey and take over when Darian grew tired.
"So how is Tiran holding up?" Darian asked, glancing over at his best friend and brother-n-law.
Dan sighed. "Well, he still hasn't cried yet and he barely talks... I just hope being with Ethan will help him out." He paused before asking, "Is June taking it any better?"
"Aye, she is really down. June was really close to Eva. She really doesn't know what to do." Darian said quietly.
Dan nodded, then it fell quiet.
Down in the bedroom hallway Tien, Darian's daughter, was running down the hall. Stopping she opened a door and went inside, with out a single knock. "There you guys are! I've been looking for you."
Tiran and Ethan was playing a cardgame on the bed when she came in.
Ethan glared at his sixteen year old sister. "Don't you know how to leave us alone..." he mumbled.
"Oh stop acting like your ten years old, Brother. I juat want to hang out with you guys." saying the last part with a smile towards Tiran.
Tiran was looking at the cards he held in his hands. He glanced up to see Ethan giving him a 'sorry I can't get her to leave' look.
"Sooo... what are you doing?" asking as she kneeled by the bedside.
Ethan rolled his eyes. "What's it look like, playing dolls?" saying sarcasticly.
Tien glared at her older brother. "I wasn't asking you."
Tiran didn't say a word, he just play his next card.
Tien frowned as she stood and placed a hand on Tiran's shoulder. "Um, I may not be someone you would come to first, but... you can talk to me if you would like." For the first time since she had been in there with them Tien was being serious.
Ethan looked at his sister with amazment.
At Tien's touch, Tiran glanced up at her. "Thanks, Tien." Once that was said he went back to looking at his cards he held.
"Um, I uh... I guess I will go help Mom with food." With that Tien left, shutting the door behind her.
Ethan played a card then looked up at Tiran. "Hey... uh, you know I'm here for you too, right?" asking with a worried look.
Tiran caught his friend's worried look. "Yeah Ethan, I know. There's no need to worry about me though, okay? I'm fine." He done his best to comfort his friend.
Giving him a smile he waited for his turn in their card game. 'I know your not okay, Tiran. You haven't let the fact that your mother is dead sink in yet.' Ethan thought as he took his turn.
Two hours later June, Darian's wife, and Tien went into the control center to tell Darian and Dan that the food was ready to eat.
"Hey Dad, you hungry?" Tien asked as she ran to his side. "Wow! So many buttons! What all do they do?" She went to push one but Dan was at her side with her hand closed up inside his in no time.
Tien looked up at Dan with confusion.
"You never know what could happen if you push that." Dan said in a gentle voice.
"He's right, Tien. You don't need to touch what you don't know," June told her daughter. Stepping to the other side of her husband, she placed a caring hand on his shoulder. "Are you two getting hunry?" she asked both the men.
Taking his eyes off the vast outer space, Darian looked up at his wife. "Oh yeah. I thought it would never get done."
I'm straved." Dan said as he watched Tien looking at all the controls. Looking away from her, he walked over to his seat. Taking a seat, he hit a few bottons that pulled up a screen.
On the screen was the room the boys were in. The screen was located to the left of the door, on the wall where you could see the whole room.
