Hayate laughed as the kid yelled out at him, from what he could tell by the Jean's methods of getting to the fourth floor of the buildings fire escape that he was new commer to storm riding. Maybe E-rank. Either way he wasn't a threat, in other words which meant that Hayate should focus primarily on Havok. Who in skill, power, speed, and stamina outmatched Hayate's own ability. Keeping up his speed, Hayate could barely dodge Havok's attacks so he had to keep alert and try to read the technique he would use against him. Ofcoarse Hayate didn't know every trick of his road, and ofcoarse Havok could have some he created himself, so Hayate had to keep an eye open. He kept moving his guns ready, so when Havok attacked Hayate could counter with an attack of his own.
Gainer Cannon: This trick is a counter trick, it can help dodge something heading straight forward and send out an attack in the same move. The user first creates a heated pressure "shell" by extreme acceleration and braking. Since this move involves the user to run with the shell he or she must keep control of the compressed air until they release it. The running is the start of a gainer. (A back flip that ends with the performer forward of the starting point). Without concentration the user will easily 'lose' the cannon they have built up resulting in a bomb like explosive to their foot. But if he or she keeps it contained during running the quick stomps of movement will add even more heat to the already overheated shell. The quicker you are the hotter the cannon.
Once the rider is ready to kick the cannon he or she will kick the attack out and arch their back to follow through on the back flip. When flipping the user should be able to get enough height to dodge, then again if they don't get enough height he or she could easily get their head skimmed. Timing is the key. If the rider lands the flip too quick he or she may get their own cannon to the back, due to the forward movement of the flip, in a way this attack could be used for self damage such as knocking ones self out. But if timed correctly the user should be able to dodge the object and kick the cannon just before he or she makes the complete flip. The cannon that the user sends out can either hit the object or fly above or below it, depending on the height of your kick. This is an C Class Technique
