“Well “ Crys started with a sense of pride, “Professor Elm's Lab is outside and literally right around the corner... He is normally pretty good about lending pokemon to young adventurers but is very notorious for making them do his chores haha! Hrm hold on a second” Crys left the room and shortly returned with a letter. “This should at least make it worth your while Richard, give it to Elm.” She handed him the letter and gave a small half smile. “Your destined for great things Richard.. don't ruin it for yourself.. “ She advised softly. Richard gave a nod and walked to the door.
“Thank you for everything again Crys.” Richard told her one last time before walking out the door “Hopefully see you again!” and then he took off towards Professor Elm's Lab.
Mean while in a distant cave two looming presences were chatting with each other. “So the plans have been set into motion?” asked the smaller of the two. The larger being nodded slowly as to answer. “Very good... If he is to be ready for the next step we must put him through the challenge yet again.. you realize this correct?” The larger being nodded again . “Very well my lord... I will inform the others.. “ The smaller being then left, but not without seeing the eyes of his Lord shine with a brilliant red and green that he had not seen for years.
Richard walked to the door of the lab and took a deep breath. He would step in ask for Professor Elm and hand him the note, thats how this will go, or so he wanted to believe for he knew something was going to happen like it always does. He reached for the door knob and almost like clock work the door burst open and knocked Richard off his feet. “Oh! I'm terribly sorry!” clamored a young girl with a Marill at her side. “I didn't know there was some-one coming!” she continued as she helped Richard back up and bowed continuously. The girl had strawberry Blonde hair in a short bob cut with a small ribbon tied to one bang, Pale Green eyes and seemed to be about 14 or 15. She wore a black long sleeve shirt with a Light purple jean vest on over it, she also wore jeans as well as Generic Brand shoes (Generic is the name of a brand.. really).
“It was nothing really, no need to get worked up about anyway” He tried to calm her down and smiled as well.
“No! That will not do.. there has to be something I can do for you... anything you'd like!” she insisted.
“Really its fine I'm just gonna find a way home” Richard re-assured her.
“She gave a small sigh and looked him in the eye. At least let me know your name?” she pleaded.
“Its Richard, but really all I can really ask for is for you to be a bit more careful where you are going haha!” He joked around with her and rubbed the back of his head.
“... I see well my name is Lyra, I'm sorry we met like this..and I feel bad for this but I 've gotta run! I'll see you around Richard!” she then rushed off.
“What a stranged place this is” Richard chuckled to himself as he entered the lab. He was already making a list in his head of what he would require as soon as he got to the first big town. Potions, pokeballs, repels, as well as antidotes. He slowly looked around to see everyone working to themselves and completely ignoring his presence which was odd normally people at least look up to see who entered, right? Ignoring their non chalantness he continued to walk through the lab finally stopping by a lab assistant to ask him to get Professor Elm for him.
A short while later the back door opened and a thin sickly looking man out. He was smiling and walked twords Richard with eagerness. “what brings you to my lab?” he asked happily.
“Well.. “ Richard didnt know what else to say or do other than to give Professor Elm the letter. After quickly reading the letter Professor Elm gave a small nod and rubbed his chin.
“Well I suppose lending you a pokemon wouldnt be too bad.. but I think I know kids like you how about you work in the lab to obtain ownership?!” he smiled big and nodded thrice.
“wha!” Richard stammered in surprise. “I.. I ...”
