As Richard and Clint entered Professor Elm's lab to deliver the egg they were stopped by a police officer. “Did you manage to apprehend the criminal?” the officer asked in a most serious tone.
“No, and the pokemon is willingly working for him so its pretty much a lost cause...” Richard informed them and continued on not wanting to slow down. “Look Professor Elm I got your egg.” Richard pulled the egg out of his bag and showed it to him. Professor Elm looked at it awestruck, he had seen a lot of pokemon eggs in his lifetime but this one was different he could feel it in his Professor's Intuition.
“Mind if I have a look?” Elm asked holding his hands out for the egg.
“Its not mine its yours” Richard shrugged and handed him the egg. “If this is all fine now I'mma get going I have a lot to prepare for soon.” He said simply and turned his back.
“Yeah its fine I'll call you if I need you again Richard, Thanks, feel free to call me too. “ he extended the offer to richard with sincerity... hopefully breaking some ice so that he would be able to get more help later on. Richard nodded as he left the building. Richard figured it would be best to tell Crys he was leaving and so he headed to her house. She was waiting for him.
“Oh welcome back” she greeted him warmly, “I was expecting you'd come by soon. I don't know if you'll like this or not but if you'd like I can save some money and buy you some things you cant find anywhere else, mostly berries but occasionally I can get some other things as well, you don't have to decide now its just something I think would help.” She smiled softly.
“Wow.. haha you must have been waiting to say that or something.. well I don't see the harm in it..but I'll need most of the money so I guess I'll send you some every once in a while, feel free to use it on yourself too after all you've helped me so much even before I woke up..” said Richard before he nodded “and as you can tell I'm about to go soon..”
“So I've gathered.” Crys nodded. “well I wont keep you, just know that this home is always open for you if you need it okay?” Richard smiled and nodded at her, and did a simple hand wave goodbye as he left the home and started his journey for real. This would be it his chance to redeem himself for everything that had happened and he was not going to lose, he couldn't lose! He put one foot ahead of the other and trudged on when he noticed some-one following him. “Show yourself.” He said calmly, not sensing any ill will coming from who was following him.
“Oh.. you noticed me not many people do” Lyra replied shyly as she caught up to Richard. “This package was sent here from Sinnoh to you and they couldn't find you here so I said I would deliver it for you!” she said in one breath. She handed him the package and stood there waiting.
“oh thank you Lyra” Richard thanked her and opened the package, inside was a Black and red Scarf, Five Pokeballs, and two letters signed by both Jay and Dawn as well as a Note from Mom. He decided to read the one from his mother first.
“Dear- Richard
I know we haven't talked much since you began your pokemon journeys but I would like you to know that I love you honey and not to be afraid to ask anything of your mother after all all boys grow up and have to go on adventure.. but all those boys still have their mothers and homes to go back too as well! So keep your chin up and keep in touch..

P.S. I found these pokeballs in your room I hope you can still use them!”
He smiled and ran his hand over the scarf. It felt nice but it definitely wasn't the weather for this yet and so he put the note in the middle of the scarf and wrapped over it. He felt bad he couldn't read this note right off but he had to head out now if he was going to make it before the next day. “Thank you Lyra this means a lot to me, I'll see you soon okay?” Richard smiled and nodded at her before motioning for Clint to follow him and they set out, first order of business was to attempt to get some friends.
