Background:

The Hyuuga clan were one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. Each clan member possess the "Byakugan" or "White Eye." When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the internal chakra circulation system in other beings. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings. The higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blindspot that extends outwards from their upper back.

The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. By focusing the chakra to their finger tips, they can press the tenketsu or chakra pressure points of their opponents body. When the finger nears the tenketsu the chakra is forced out, collasping the targetted tenketsu for a period of time. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.

These great powers lead to internal strife within the family. Because the eye grants such a unique and powerful ability, the clan became possessive and over-protective of it. Seeing only the main family as worthy users and inheritors of the eye, the heads of the clan began to place restrictions on those branch family members not in power. What resulted were two Hyuuga lines, the powerful main family who would represent the line, and the branch family who were directed to protect the main family and bear the cursed seal.

The cursed seal is placed on the foreheads of branch family members. It serves as a means to protect the secrets of the Hyuuga Byakugan eye. If the branch family member was to ever betray the main family or be killed in battle, the seal would be activated to destroy the body's secrets. Thus forcing the branch family to further bow to the will of the main family.

Heavenly Shield
[An incomplete version of the Heavenly Spin technique. This technique utilizes chakra to place onto a side of the user's body. Much like the heavenly Spin. This technique blocks an incoming attack, and expels chakra outwards deflecting the attack. A wall of blue chakra will appear and spin the attack away; however, this shield can only be used on one side at a time, and can't be used in rapid succession. If used too many times the shield will sap the Hyuuga quickly. If a living being hits the shield, they will be spun around or thrown backwards.

Shugo Hakke Rokujuuyonshou
("Guardian Eight Divination Signs, Sixty-Four Palms of the Hand" wink
the user will emit chakra from her palms and move her arms in sweeping pattern movements to provide a full 360 degree range of protection for her body. This chakra will be also be able to cut through most any target which dares penetrate the protective sphere. By expelling a more sharper, stronger and more flexible amount of chakra, she can increase it's effectiveness against more massive incoming objects.

Hakke Shou Kaiten
("Heavenly Spin" wink Another of the 'perfect defense' jutsu types. At the exact moment a blow is landed on the body, large amounts of Chakra are expelled from the Chakra Holes around the body. With that force, his body spins like a top. The combined efforts of the Chakra and the spin, first deflect the attack - then throw the opponent backwards.

This Taijutsu directly destroys the opponents inner organs, and the softest blows can take out the largest person - and deal high amounts of damage.

Performed by a genius among the Hyuuga. It allows the Byakugan user to see the chakra openings (Tsubos) and strike them with enough accuracy to close them - stopping or increasing the flow of chakra. The holes are found from the 361 pressure points in the Inner Coil System (TenKetsu).

("Sixty-four Point Hands" wink Taijutsu Technique. Using a highly advanced form of Byakugan, the user is able to see the Tenketsus on a person's body, and using the Hyuga Taijutsu Style - closes the Tenketsus with quick blows, stopping the flow of Chakra through one's body.

Hakke Hasangeki is a Taijutsu technique utilized by Hyuuga Neji. Extending chakra from his body, Neji will thrust his palm into his target. This will send out a wave of chakra that will knock his opponent backwards into nearby rock to cause further damage. It is unknown if this wave can also collapse his target's tenketsu points.

Hakke Kuushou - Eight Divination Signs Air Palm
Hakke Kuushou is a ranged Taijutsu technique utilized by Hyuuga Neji. Extending chakra from his body, Neji will thrust his palm at his target. This will send out an invisible wave of chakra that can knock his opponent back. It is unknown if this wave can also collapse his target's tenketsu points.

("One Hundred Twenty Eight Point Hands" wink Taijutsu technique. Using a highly advanced form of Byakugan, the user is able to see the Tenketsus on a person's body, and using the Hyuga Taijutsu Style - closes the Tenketsus with quick blows, stopping the flow of Chakra through one's body and causing an extreme amount of pain that may result in unconsciousness or death.

Hyuuga Branch Family Seal
This seal is attached to the members of the Hyuuga Branch Family. Is is placed on the family member at birth to ensure the secrets of the Byakugan do not fall into enemy hands. It also ensures the Branch member follows the orders of the Main House. When the seal is placed on the Branch members forehead, their mind can be destroyed by a hand seal known only by the Main family.

Roleplay Information:
Tatsu is the son of a member of the Hyuuga's main branch. He has lived a life of strict discipline which lead him to be a bit rebellious. Growing up, he would go against his father's wishes and usually end up in trouble with the old man. Having his elder sister save him from punishment, and have their father go easy on him. This was routine to be honest. Tatsu, though had excellent marks in the ninja academy, was a trouble maker. He'd create pranks, talk back to his instructors, and disrupt class. Leaving his teachers to wonder what was possessing him to behave in such away. His mother was always in his corner just like his sister. Keeping his father from taking his punishment too far or talking down to him as if he wasn't the man's only son. Another reason Tatsu acted the way he did was because of the constant comparison his father did with Tsuki (Tatsu's sister) and Tatsu. This drove Tatsu to find his own ways to gain his father's attention.

When Tatsu was his sister was attacked and their home was burned down. This caused Tatsu to go into shock when ever he see a raging flame. This was no small phobia, in which a small spark of a flame would ensnare fear but it would be a raging flame, that consumes all it touched. After Tatsu's sister death he began taking his life more seriously in order to honor her. He trained harder, studied more diligently. Basically feeling the shoe his sister had left behind. WIthout him even realizing it he had matured greatly. Acceding the ranks of a shinobi, in his young teen life. Now 17 he is a chuunin. His prowess over his kekkei genkai is far greater than that of his sisters.
