Rayka awoke the next morning, her eyes felt as if they weighed 100 pounds apiece, it was Still raining outside. She quietly got up so she wouldn't awake Nova. She walked to the window and looked outside wondering what time it was.

**Nova, still asleep, rolled onto her stomach, her right arm slipping off the side of the bed, her face was buried in the pillow**
Rayka sat on the edge of Nova's bed watching her for a moment, rather intensively. "Beautiful Girl.." She stood up, stretched, and laid back down, but unable to fall asleep.

**In the silence, Rayka could hear something.. it sounded like whimpering, but it was muffled.. by a pillow maybe?**
**Nova's right hand tightened a little**

Rayka sat up quickly, looking directly over to her new friend. She very quietly whispered "N-Nova?..are you awake?"

**There was no reply, but the whimpering could still be heard softly... Nova's hand untightened again.. **

Rayka continued to look at Nova. She grabbed nova's hand and held it softly. Rayka sighed a bit and stared at Nova.

**The whimpers slowly came to a stop, Nova turned her head facing toward Rayka, she was still asleep.. Softly, her hand griped Rayka's**

Rayka took her other hand, putting it on Nova's shoulder. "Nova..." She had a sound in her voice. Of genuine worry. "Nova wake up.."

** Nova slowly came too, her eyes opened slowly, revealing the silvery gleam on her eyes.. **
Nova: what is it? ... oh.. morning Rayka.. something wrong?
**her voice sounded tired.. which was to be expected anyway**

Rayka smiled out of relief. "no..nothing..it sounded as if you were having a bad dream" *she frowned*.."A-Are you okay?"

Nova: oh.. I was? .. yea.. I'm alright.. thank you
**She yawned a little, an realized she was holding Rayka's hand.. Though she didn't do anything about it**

Rayka smiled and leaned down to hug Nova. "I'm..I'm so sorry I brought that upon you last night." She looked into Nova's eyes. And sat back up, still gripping her hand softly.

**Nova sat up against her head board slowly, inadvertently pulling Rayka with her some as she did**
Nova: no its alright.. things happen, I'm just glad I could help you... Your ok, right?

Rayka shyly smiled "Yes I'm fine" she let go of Nova's hand "Are you okay?"

Nova: Yea im fine.. little hungry though, how about breakfast?
**She wasn't half asleep anymore by now, She lifted the covers off her and got out of bed, she waited for Rayka to come with her**

Rayka stood up woozily. She was still very, very tired. She followed Nova to get some food

**As they walked out of the room Nova saw the sword she used the previous night laying on the ground and stopped abruptly**
**She frowned and just stood silently.. remembering the night completely**

Rayka almost walked into Nova, and saw immediately what she was staring at..She walked over and picked the sword up. Wrapping it in her mutilated, damp shirt from the night before. "Try not to remember"

**Nova nodded and slowly moved to follow Rayka to the kitchen**
Nova: **she whispered quietly** kay...
**She looked away from the blade, toward the kitchen and went to the bag of food and pulled some fruits out, setting them on the table**
Nova: Feel free to eat some Rayka..

"Thank you so much!" She smiled brightly, trying to make the mood happier, despite the lousy weather and the given circumstance. She took an apple from the pile and nibbled the skin off. "This is pretty good" She smiled again as her baggy eyes found Nova's

Nova: No problem
**She smiled and grabbed an apple for herself, nibbling on it some**
Nova: so.. what should we do today? I mean... if you still wanna hang around..

Rayka looked up at nova from her apple "Well I'd like to, if that's okay with you?"
She took a long blink and swayed a bit "I kinda..like spending time with you..."

Nova: of course its okay! I um.. don't really have many friends so..
**she looked kind of embarrassed and nibbled at her apple again**

Rayka beamed at her words, as she didn't have a friend either..she had lost everyone "I'd be so happy if I could stay" She giggled a bit

**Nova giggled a little, still feeling kinda embarrassed**
Nova: well you'll just hafta stay then wont ya? **She smiled**

Rayka felt a warm glow in her heart..she had a real friend now..she took a big bite of her apple "Juicy" She started to laugh, and continued to slowly eat it.

Nova: hehe.. yea
**she took a big bite of her apple too**
Nova: so after we eat.. we'll get cleaned up an go shopping or something.. sound good? You probly need some clothes that fit you better then mine do anyway heh

Rayka giggled "There not bad" She smiled. She put her apple down, only the core was left. Rayka eyes the rest of the fruit, leaning over to get a closer look, quickly backing up "gee What's that smell?" "Smells like dieing animal"

Nova: huh?
**She looks at the pile of fruit**
Nova: i dunno..
**She put her apple down, still a little less half of it left. Then she started pulling fruits away from the pile**

Rayka looked into the sack..her face turned lime green "Meat..rotten meat.." she gagged a bit and walked away form the table

**Nova gasped and stepped back**
Nova: Crap! Ok well.. we'll hafta throw that out.. like.. now
**she quickly stepped up to the bag and closed the top tight, went to the door, opened it and tossed the whole bag into a trash can nearby. She came back in a moment later**
Nova: ok.. well looks like we gotta go shopping later anyway... Now I need food again.

Rayka put on her leather shoes "Here," she pulled a fine-woven sack with some gold in it "Take this for the trouble I'v caused. And don't say no, cause I wont let you." She had a stout but silly voice at the same time. "okay?"

**She chuckled a little**
Nova: alright alright, but only because you wont let me hehe
**Nova calmly took the bag and set it on the counter**
Nova: well lets go get cleaned up.. I'll grab you some clothes so you can change
**She smiled and went to her room to grab some clothes**

Rayka stood blankly not knowing whether to follow her into the bedroom or not. She walked closer to the bed room, but not in, She put her hands behind her back, rocking back and forth on her heels, looking at Nova's house.

**Nova called out from the room**
Nova: Hey Rayka! You want a dress or some pants?
**She peered out from the hallway**

Rayka looked at her legs "uhm..what do you think would look good?"

**Nova's head disappears from sight and pops back out a moment after**
Nova: pants? **She holds out a pair of Blue jeans** You like?

She looks for a moment.."I think a dress would look good on me" she stared for a moment

Nova: kay~
**She went back into her room and came out a minute or 2 later with a blue dress and a light purple shirt**
Nova: ok how bout these?

Rayka beamed "oh Nova there beautiful" she walked over to take them from her "thanks" she smiled

**Nova laughed**
Nova: no problem, You can change in my room if you want, I'll wait out here

"okey" She walked past Nova and change her cloths, coming out, and turning about "I love it!"

**Nova smiles**
Nova: Never seen those clothes look any better haha, they look good on you. Alright my turn to get cleaned up.
**she went into her room and came out some minutes later dressed in some black pants and a blue short-sleeve shirt**
Nova: I look alright? **She giggles a little**

Rayka smiled "Absolutely beautiful" She grinned and looked around "Okay, ready?"

Nova: yup
**she walked over and grabbed her bag of money and slipped it into her pocket**
Nova: So What's first? Clothes for you or food for the house?
**She looked around making a last minute check**

Rayka pursed her lips "uhm..lets..food" She looked at the floor

**She looks around some more and then back at Rayka**
Nova: kay lets go
**She walked by Rayka and grabs her hand, pulling her with her playfully and smiling**

Rayka smiled as she returned grasping Nova's hand she noticed a offset figure on top the tavern's roof across the way. But said nothing of it

**Nova looked down the streets looking for a food vendor ... rather, a food vendor that hopefully wasn't going to try and hurt her again**
Nova: lets go... this way..
**she points in the opposite direction she went the previous day**

Rayka knew it was Tal Rasha on that roof. He had been her protector her whole life. He was hired by her father to protect her. Unfortunately Her father died, and was unable to pay Tal further, Tal Rasha Continued to protect her, but only when she Absolutely needed it. She hated him..and loved him. He was her Angel.
"Uhm..There's one" She pointed across the street.
