~!~Good Day ToYou Sir~!~
Yes, Florida will forever by home sweet home to me. ^^ The blue skies, the freak rain storms, the moist air, the green grass... You have no idea how much I've missed you FL.
You know that feeling you get when you come home from summer camp, and you can see your street and your house and you just think "Finally."? Well, that's how I felt when we drove past that Ice Cream shop and I could see the stoplights at the intersection and the plaza that I used to adore. I can still find my way around town and get home without getting lost. The streetlights may be new, but the roads are still the same.
Going over to my friend's house, it was as if I'd never left and this was just another weekend slumber party. ((NOT a lesbo party, as her band friend likes to call it)) There were hugs and laughs, not to mention constant talking. We just talked, and joked around, and nodded along when we had to. We had way too many sodas and not enough time. We talked about school, guys, mispronunciations... everything!
They didn't want me to leave to go diving, but I did anyway. It was freezing cold and the wind didn't help anyone. The water was clear, and dark. Apparently I handle pressurizing better now, because there was no ringing in my ears like before. I've gotten taller since I was last there, because I can stand on the bottom stair and my head clears the water. I'm going to get my own wetsuit soon, so no more sharing! The drive back home was nice and I had pizza for dinner, my favorite. ^^
Going back over to her house was awesome. Our other friend came over and I braced myself for a glomp. We stood outside in the cold, trying to keep close to share body heat instead of just getting coats on. We talked even more, having even more soda. ((I really hate soda now. It will be months before I'm able to drink it without getting a headache)) Rivalries have apparently risne, and there's drama to spare. I don't know what to say about that, but just that it better not get bad. I do not want to have to put up with that fight. Points were made and laziness ensued. Almost like nothing's changed. XD
The thing is, a lot is different. I can tell they're different; older, mature. But they're still the same; loud, funny, and my best friends. The conversation is different, but the scene is the same.
The drive home was quiet. I tried to catch up on all the sleep I missed. We talked a little about diving, and how the girls were. Arriving back at the house, it still is home, but the building is not. The town is not. Homey things are there, and I'm still happy to be there, but it's just not the same.
Okay, a friend posted Bio's of everyone in her journal, so I wanted to do the same. ((what a theif!)) yes, yes, anyway, here we go!
Caroline: My pirate buddy since forever! A band girl all around with awesome infamousisity. She's always in on the gossip and drama, having just the right words to say. A natural born leader, she'll plan ahead and enforce her own ideas. An obvoius Floridian with the tan to match, she's simply amazing.
Catherine: A sweetheart and as honest as the day is long, I wouldn't mess with her. She's almost like those sweet and sour candies; nice, with a kick of sassy! She is extroadinarily excellent, always with a book on hand to read. She's funny, loyal, loveable, sassy... just the most outstanding friend a girl could have.
Deanna: A hillarious, complicated human being, she is always one to dish and then to listen. Usually part of the drama, life is never dull with her around. If you just don't know what to say, she'll help you figure it out through her own experiences and feelings. The comedy's a plus, too.
There you have it. That is my journal for today. Now let's hope it'll post the first go 'roud. XD
