For sure. Dime stops, dime stops, dime stops. They make hits more pronounced, give better speed control, and just look sick. If you can get good at either strobing or botting, then you're pretty much dope. Remember just about everything is isolated in the dance. I actually think waves are really good to practice a lot because of that. Another thing that helps with that are fixed points. You can use them with just about everything and they help practice isos (also tuts and fixed points are amazing together).
And don't just do boogaloo! s**t's boring, aha.
Always get the most basic concepts before you move on, be it a wave, a tut, some rolls, isos, or anything else. First understand the idea, practice, clean it up, and then add your own concepts, and everything else will look better that comes from that. Sloppy foundations are the worst. Control, clean movements and nice concepts make you look good. If it looks sloppy or you can't understand it, it's no good.
