Last night I stood up late.. until like 2am just playing the PS3. I managed to wake up at 7 in the morning! I looked at the clock and was glad it wasn't past 7:30am because on Mix 97.7 on the radio, there is a game called Time Machine where the Radio personality asks a question that contains three events and gives out three years, and the first person to call in and give him the correct year of the events, wins tickets to a theme park.
I got out of bed, STILL TIRED, I did have high doubt that I was going to win but I still had a feeling that I should try. So I got online and listened to the radio until 7:38 and the Time Machine came on. He said, "The year when Eagles released "Please come home for Christmas" single" and he stated two other events that I can't remember. He then gave three choices: 1978, 1979, or 1980.
I knew the answer was 1978 so I called the radio station as fast as I could with the house phone and my cell phone! I was SOOO excited that I got through on my SECOND try! The Radio personality answered and I asked "Did someone already win?" and he told me no, asking me if I knew the answer. I responded with yes and he asked the Time Machine question once again. He said I was correct! I screamed with joy!! I was like "EEEE!!!"
He told me I had won a family four pack of tickets to Universal Studios and he threw in an extra Alpine gift certificate for 30 dollars to get a Christmas tree. (I don't do Christmas so I gave it away.)
I was SOOO happy! My mom has won Disneyland tickets on the Radio before but this was my first time winning! It felt awesome!
I've never been to Universal Studios, but I know it's going to be SO FUN! YAY! Thanks 97.7!!
(I did go back to sleep after winning and had a dream that everyone was fighting over my tickets. lol)
