This isn't even about me.
there's always a string attached
I want to kiss her when ever I see her
She loves me but wants someone else
She can't promise me
It's not about me
she's not mine
My best friend is a different story
No one makes her feel special
Even when she makes me
Not even wanting to try
I'm just not enough
I don't even know
Does she comprehend the emotions I feel
even when she doesn't
I'm not sure I care
I can wait or choose to let my guard down
Would this make sense even if it wasn't a heart
I don't matter here
It makes me who I am
I've been defined by the idea of others
So many problems on both sides of a tragedy
Maybe I should just trust her
Maybe I wouldn't lose if life wants it to be
It's not about me
And now I'm not sure I even have a choice
