In Touch With Simplicity
I want to be surrounded by
A field of the tallest sunflowers
Green caressing yellow with black
In the most loving of embraces
I want to feel the cool, dark earth
Between my barefooted toes
Along with the soft kiss of the sun
Upon my uplifted face
I want to taste the sweetest berries
Grown from the richest ground
Letting the juices soften my lips
To allow their life to nourish my body
I want to let my voice float through the air
Singing quiet praises to the gods
Murmuring loving prayers to my ancestors
Requesting they bless me each day.
