Everything went fine.
I processed, signed contracts, swore in.
I am a soldier of the United States Military.
I'm a 21 Charlie, I'll complete OSUT training in Fort Leonard Wood. When I finish my Training I'll be stationed in Fort Belvoir.
As a reservist I'll have a civilian job at a Gym. As a Civilian student I'll be attending school at the Art institute of Washington. As a Soldier I'll be attending an ROTC course at [classified information].. Well that's a secret for now. When I found out where I'm receiving my ROTC class I nearly died laughing. Good times.
Anyway, I ship for BCT(Basic combat Training) combined with AIT(Advanced individual Training) course called OSUT (One station unit training) on the 15th.
I'm looking at a Signing bonus of 18,000$; I'll see 9000$ of it before I sign it away with a new contract for ROTC/SMP.
As an SMP ROTC student I'll receive a new stipend and increased drill pay. (E-5 Pay grade) on top of my GI bill.
Upon completion of my ROTC course in four years(I'll also be finishing my civilian schooling and receiving a degree from there as well) I'll be promoted to a commissioned officer of O-1 Rank (2nd Lieutenant.)
At that point I'll have two years left on my contract; depending on my life situation at the time I will either finish my service, or extend my contract.
