"Just give me the code!" he shouted. I stayed silent. He dealt a punch to my face. After dealing with this for so long, I was starting to go numb.

Two guards stood on either side of the door. Their leader stood in front of me. They were trying to break into the Naval security system. They thought I was the only one with the code since I helped get rid of its bugs. I wasn't but they didn't know that and I was kind of glad. I didn't want to but anyone else in danger.

"Boss, I don't think she's going to talk," one of the guards said.

"I think we just need to try this from a different approach," he replied. An evil smile played on his lips. It was a creepy smile and you could see some missing teeth. He pulled a full syringe. "Now sit still, princess." He forcefully grabbed my arm and injected the liquid in my arm. He threw the syringe across the room. "Now we wait."

I started to feel dizzy. The room was spinning. I heard his laughter ringing in my ears. Then I heard a gun shot. I couldn't tell where it came from.

I felt the bonds loosen that held my wrists together. I still couldn't tell what anything was around me. My vision was swimming and everything sounded like an echo.

"Selena, stay with me," I heard my boss say. I tried to speak but nothing came out. The darkness took over.

When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed. I noticed Ally sleeping beside me. It was late at night. I must have woken Ally up because she opened her eyes and noticed me awake.

"You're awake! Everyone was so worried about you, especially James." I forgot about my boyfriend. He was always worried about me and my job. "I should tell Leo you're awake. He told me to tell him."

"Could you get James for me too? If he's still here, of course."

"I'll check." She got up and left the room looking for them. Leo came in soon after.

"How are you feeling?"

"Dizzy, confused and in pain. Nothing new," I said jokingly. I didn't want him to think I was weak. He's my boss but I sometimes thought of him as another father.

"I am serious, Selee. You scared us all."

"I'll be fine. I just want to get out of here."

"Get some sleep, I promise we'll get this straightened out in the morning." I did as I was told and fell asleep.
