This is an idea that has been playing in my mind for a while. I hope you like this.
She was stuck in a room with a few other students. Their captor had the gun pointed to her head. Hannah knew he was after something she could get to or have someone she knew access it. They had pushed the desks out of the way and were sitting on the floor. Currently, their captor was on the phone, with his attention away from the window.
Out of the corner of her eye, Hannah noticed her father's boss through the window, Officer Winters. She brushed her hair back with two fingers.
"Are you ok?" He signed.
She shook her head and put her hand over the small bruise forming on her forehead. The other kids noticed what she was doing but said nothing. Their captor still was turned away.
"We'll get you out of there soon."
"How?" she signed back, trying not to be so obvious about it.
Before he could reply back, the gunman turned around and Winters hid. He looked down and said to Hannah, "You better hope those agents come through for you."
