That's what people should learn
This holiday season
But here we are
Wrapped in stress
Instead of counting our blessings

We cry when our heroes aren't here
Because they're fighting off in war
Our hearts ache when we come home
Just to find no one at the door
Money is scarce
Love seems thin
The air is cold
Sunset begins
We need to learn
That it's not over yet
Everything in life is for now
So many people forget
Be happy with what you have
And smile through the day
