i wish you were still here
holding my hand.
i think to myself
before the rain comes
because i have no one to talk to.
no one but the voice in my head
telling me maybe the rain will come
and i won't have to be lonely.
before the rain comes
i stare out my window, watching clouds
waiting to see them turn angry
full of hate and wrath
aiting for that supernatural stage
when everything is still
because the rain is about to fall.
waiting for the fat tears of everything bad i feel
to stick to my window
and collect
and slide down
helplessly and without a guide
except life itself
because that's how you felt.
i think about you telling me
"get ready"
i think about you everyday,
but connecting with you again is special
special and sweet and full of surprise
because thats how you were
and that's why you're always there
