You are confronted with a choice...
Your four only friends in the world, the ones you have been with for what seems an eternity, are dead. A mysterious light appears to you, telling you that seconds ago you were dead as well, and that you have much work to do andl ittle time to do it in. But, before you can accomplish it, you must make your choice. Two of your friends will come back from death to assist you in your task. However, the other the two you do not choose will be condemned to eternal torment. You must hurry now, before THEY come back! Think quick!
Now, who will you choose?

Well, I've started the Kingmaker module that came with NWN Diamond, and I must say I am incredibly pleased so far, ifa little depressed. I still feel bad about leaving Trip behind... Well, here are the choices from the module:

Trip
Race: Wererat (he's half-rat all the time though)
Class: Theif
Personality: Paranoid, easily frightened, confident in the shadows, a bit selfish.
Other Info: Speaks about the voices in his head, doesn't trust the other companions, especially not Jaboli ("smells like cat, looks like cat, acts like cat, is cat to Trip!" wink .
Thoughts on...
Jaboli: "Trip is sure she will eat him! The only thing stopping her is my disease! Then again, maybe she would turn into a rat... A sexy rat!"
Calibast: "He casts light into the shadows! Trip cannot hide while he is around..."
Kaidala: "I am an abomination of nature and proud of it!"
If you pick him: Trip is more than happy to return as a loyal theif.
If you don't pick him: Trip falls into the shadows, whimpering up at you and trying to claw his way back out.

Jaboli
Race: Rakshasa (they're kind of like half-tigers, but not really...)
Class: Sorcerer
Personality: A bit arrogant due to her race, but she acknowledges this when it happens and always appologizes for it.
Other Info: Is full of intelligence on jsut about everything.
Thoughts on...
Trip: "He is a coward, but with training he could become a loyal theif."
Calibast: ?
Kaidala: "I'm afraid she will let out on us at a dire moment..."
If you choose her: The sorceress returns to aid you.
If you don't choose her: She lets you know she doens't blame you and slowly fades away.

Calibast
Race: Azer Dwarf
Class: Fighter
Personality: Ever bounding forward and good-tempered. Calibast is also happy to kill anything.
Other info: Love interest for female characters. Has one of the best battlecries I've ever heard (What the blazin', Boundin', Barkin', balkin', Pinnin', Shootin', Pirrouetin', GAH!). Scottish accent.

If you pick him: He returns, already back to his old humor.
If you don't pick him: He nods and the pit of eternity opens for him. as he descends he tells you to drinka mug of beer in his honor.

Kaidala:
Race: Nymph
Class: Druid
Personality: Depressed and forlorn, she never seems truly happy.
Other info: Love interest for male characters. Has desired death since the destruction of her home. French accent.

Trip: ?
Jaboli: ?
Calibast: "His fiery countenance is too hot for me. However, he is wreathed with fire and fire destroyed my home."
If you pick her: She sighs and returns, back only for your friendship.
If you don't pick her: She thanks you for her death, then turns to see the Soul Harvester waiting for her. She screams as she is pulled down to eternal torment.

Well, playing a druid, I chose Calibast for offense, and Jaboli for back-line strength. However, I feel sorry for Trip and Kaidala... Mostly Trip. He is pretty cool.
Anyway, have to go. After you ressurect your two allies you go on a quest from that same beam of light to become lord or lady of the Keep, and that's what I'm doin'. Grame, if you want more info on story, leave a comment asking for it. For now I need to become the number one druid! W00t!
